Porth Glas (Cornish for Blue Harbour), is most certainly one of the most luxurious apartments in St Ives, boasting amazing panoramic sea views, indoor sauna, on-site parking and spacious contemporary interiors. Centrally, yet peacefully located at the luxury One Eighty self catering apartments within the Porthmeor beach area, you couldn't ask for a better position, with the town and beaches just a three minute walk away.

Sauna

On the ground floor of Porth Glas, you will find a fabulous sauna which seats four, perfect for unwinding after a busy day exploring. Just outside of the sauna a convenient hanging area is positioned for draping your towels and a wonderful shower room situated off the sauna corridor offers the ideal place to cool off.

Living Area

Located on the first floor, double glass doors open into the peaceful living area where a beautiful bay window offers stunning views across St Ives. The one hundred and eighty degree panoramic sea views take in Porthmeor beach, the Island, the quaint harbour and St Ives Bay beyond. You will find solid oak flooring throughout the majority of the property, along with a great collection of original artwork.

Ample seating can be found, with a comfortable corner sofa seating four which is perfectly positioned for enjoying the outstanding views. You will also discover a contemporary armchair, beanbag, divan pouffe which folds out into a single bed for a child and a relaxing reading area with a low bench. Should you manage to pull yourself away from the magnificent view, you will find a great entertainments package which includes a 32” LCD HD television with Full Sky+ package, Xbox 360 with a compilation of games, DVD player with a selection of DVDs, computer/MP3 speakers, Wi-Fi, books, board games and a selection of local maps and guides.



Kitchen

Upon entering Porth Glas you are greeted into an incredibly spacious kitchen and dining area. You will find a shoe storage area and a cupboard where coats can be hung and the iron and ironing board can be found.

Ample storage can be found within the oyster gloss fitted units, including a useful larder cupboard, and plentiful preparation space is provided on the luxurious cream marble work top. Integral appliances include an AEG dishwasher, oven/grill, microwave, combination hob with induction and halogen rings and extractor hood. You will also discover a fabulous American style fridge freezer with ice cube maker, hand blender with an assortment of attachments, Roberts radio and a selection of cook books. Plentiful utensils and cutlery are available along with an oak dresser which is full of crockery and glassware. The ground floor also offers under floor heating and is fully tiled with large modern ceramics, keeping your toes nice and toasty during the winter months.

Dining Area

Within the kitchen you will find a large oak dining table with six matching chairs, ideal for socialising with everyone whilst cooking up a storm. Alternatively, within a three minute walk of Porth Glas you will discover a wonderful selection of fine dining restaurants. Why not give the Porthmeor or Porthgwidden Beach Cafe a try? They are just a short stroll away and the food and views are spectacular.

You may wish to enjoy breakfast out on the terrace, as this sheltered spot takes advantage of the morning sun.

Utility

Within the kitchen you will find a second utility cupboard where the washing machine and tumble dryer are stored.



Bedroom One

The master bedroom is situated on the first floor to the rear of the property and is accessed via the long gallery, where electronic Velux windows allow the fresh Cornish air to flow in.

This beautiful bright and spacious room boasts views across to Clodgy Point and the Atlantic Ocean beyond and is perfect for watching the setting sun. A sumptuous king size bed is beautifully dressed with crisp white linen, and Venetian and Roman blinds can be found at both windows. Matching limed weathered oak bedside tables and chest of drawers can be found, along with a built-in wardrobe with hanging and shelf space. A full length mirror, reading lamps, Freeview television, iPod/iPhone docking station with DAB radio and MP3 link and a hairdryer are also provided.

Bedroom Two

The second bedroom is located off the first floor landing next to the family bathroom and provides two single beds which can conveniently be put together to make a super king bed upon request. A fitted wardrobe offers both hanging and shelf space, with additional storage provided within the matching bedside tables and the wicker drawer unit. A Freeview television with DVD player can be found, along with a hairdryer, digital clock/radio, two full length mirrors and Roman and Venetian blinds.

Within the lounge you will find a divan pouffe which conveniently pulls out and converts to offer an additional bed for a child. Unfortunately bedding, linen and towels are not provided for this additional guest.

Luxury 100% Egyptian cotton bed linen is provided in both bedrooms, along with hypoallergenic bedding. A selection of high quality towels are also provided for each guest.



Bathroom One

The family bathroom is tiled throughout with neutral contemporary ceramics and is situated on the first floor, adjacent to the living area and bedroom two. A bath with rainfall power shower overhead and separate hand unit is provided, along with freestanding wash basin with storage underneath, WC, heated towel rail, large mirror and storage shelf.

Bathroom Two

A fabulous fully tiled shower room can be found on the ground floor next to the sauna. A luxurious double walk in rainfall power shower with separate hand unit can be enjoyed, with a WC, wash basin, large back lit mirror, shaver socket and heated towel rail also provided.

Bathroom Three

The en-suite shower room to the master bedroom is also fully tiled and offers another rainfall power shower with separate hand unit, freestanding wash basin with slate top and storage underneath, WC, backlit vanity mirror, heated towel rail, shaver point and a slate shelf which provides additional storage space.

A selection of high quality towels comprising of bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel are provided per person. Complimentary White Company toiletries are also provided.



Outside

To the front of Porth Glas you will find a peaceful terrace which enjoys the morning sun and is accessed via the kitchen double French doors. A table and chairs are provided, perfect for alfresco dining. You will also find a lockable cupboard ideal for storing beach gear, an outdoor tap and a very useful shower with hot water, perfect for washing off sandy toes or wetsuits after a fun packed day on Porthmeor beach.

Parking

Directly outside of the apartment you will find a standard sized parking space for one car. Additional parking can be found at the pay and display council car parks, with the nearest car park just a 3 minute walk from the property.
