A beautiful barn conversion that has been described by many as romantic, quirky and stunning!

The Old Dairy was once the saddlers quarters, stables and dairy to an old manor house in St Ishmaels. It is full of character- white stone washed walls, slate floors, oak A frames, steps between different levels, Aga, snug and two wood burning stoves!

It is set in glorious rolling countryside with its own wildlife pond and small woodland.

The Old Dairy has a large breakfast kitchen with an antique pine table that seats six. The heart of the kitchen is the Aga but there is also an electric hob, oven and microwave. With the Aga, the kitchen is always warm and cosy. Clothes are dried by means of a large kitchen maid suspended above the Aga. This means clothes dry in a matter of a few hours no matter how many or how damp!

Off the kitchen is a small snug complete with small wood burning stove and TV. There are also two twin bedrooms to the ground floor. One of these has an en suite wet room, the other is next door to a bathroom complete with bath and shower.

From the kitchen, step down into a formal dining area and from there, step down into the lounge with cart doors out to the garden and pond. There is a second wood burning stove in the lounge and flat screen TV.

Upstairs in the eves is a fabulous large master bedroom. It has wonderful views out over the surrounding countryside and contains a king size double bed. Adjacent is an en suite with a full size slipper bath.

There is also a further small room that is used as a walk in wardrobe.

A travel cot is provided along with a high chair for families with very young children.

The garden is a real feature. There is a mature pond that in Summer is covered in pond marginals and water lilies. From the patio, there are stunning views across fields or down into a small wood.

It is a genuine home from home, stocked with all you could need for the perfect holiday. Suitable for couples, families or groups of adults.

The pond is unfenced so if you have young children, please be aware of this and take care.

This is a home for those who want peace, tranquility, character, and comfort!.

The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

Pembrokeshire is famous for its stunning coastline and was recently voted by National Geographic as the second best coastal destination in the world. The Dale peninsula is reputed to have the most hours of sunshine anywhere in Wales!

It is home to stunning secluded bays and pristine beaches. The coastal path is 163 miles long but you can access it anywhere along the coast and wonder at spectacular views, stunning beaches, pretty villages and families of seals and dolphins.

Inland, there are the Presceli Mountains from which it is reputed the stones at Stonehenge were hewn. This is a region of wild moorland and hills;-an ideal spot to go pony trekking. There is also the Gwaun Valley - a magical place of ancient woodland and streams.

A visit to St David's is a must. It is the smallest city in the UK with a most beautiful cathedral and bishops palace. It has lots of good bars, restaurants and interesting coffee shops. Also pay a visit to the lifeboat station at St Justinian's and to the little church right on the headland at St Non's.

During the summer months, check out the programme of events at St Davids' Cathedral. It has a regular programme of concerts and other live performances.

Milford Haven is just 15 minutes drive from the Old Dairy. The Torch Theatre lives here and in addition to live plays from visiting rep companies, it also screens performances from West End theaters via a live link.

St Ishmaels

St Ishmaels is in the heart of the national park and is only three miles from Dale in one direction and and Little Haven in the other. Dale is a yachting Mecca and is home to a water sports school which runs courses in surfing and sailing. Kayaks can also be hired. Dale has a great pub which serves fabulous fresh seafood. Check out the Griffin on Trip Advisor. Little Haven, a pretty fishing village is home to three excellent pubs/restaurants. The Gann estaury is just one mile away and we can recommend it for fishing having recently caught two sea bass there this last Summer and subsequently cooked for dinner!

Marloes Beach where Snow White and the Huntsmen was recently filmed, is just a ten minute drive away. It is an outstanding dramatic beach made so by the rocky outcrops which line the sand- you can see some photos on our photo selection.

Other glorious beaches close by are St Brides, Broad Haven, Druidstone and Newgale.

Carrying on past Newgale, the coast will take you to Solva and St Davids and then to the surfing beach of Whitesands, the pretty coastal village of Porthgain home to Then Sloop pub and then onto Strumble Head, Fishuard and Newport.

In the other direction, you can travel to Pembroke and from there access Stackpole, the lily ponds at Bosherton, Barafundle Beach, Manobier, Tenby and Saundersfoot.

There is lots to do locally- water sports abound, horse riding on the beach at Druidstone (book at Nolton Stables), a theme park at Oakwood, trips to off shore islands- Skomer island- home to a vast puffin population is easily accessible from St Martins Haven (near Marloes village) where boats leave regularly throughout the day from Spring to Autumn, fishing trips, animal farms and even a local vineyard.
