Apartment Mont Joly is just a 5 minute walk from Saint Gervais town centre, and 100 yards from the Tramway Mont Blanc, which provides access to the Mont Blanc hiking trail. The area is a fantastic summer and winter location, with plenty of activities close by including climbing, cycling, walking, paragliding in the summer, and skiing/snowboarding in the winter. Saint Gervais is a traditional French market town - quieter than the nearby ski resorts of Chamonix and Megeve, but a very friendly ski resort providing easy access to the Evasion Mont Blanc mountain range. The apartment is fully equipped for guests wanting to self cater, however there are also plenty of restaurants and bars in the town centre for those wanting to eat out.
The apartment has stunning views of the Mont Blanc mountain range (it is on the third floor of the building), and has been recently renovated, with a newly fitted fully equipped kitchen and a new bathroom. It is a very large apartment (88sq metres), with an open plan kitchen/living area including a large oak bench and sofa bed, and 2 bedrooms. The family bedroom sleeps up to 4 people, with a king size bed and bunk beds. The second bedroom has a double bed, and there is a further single bed in an annex off the hallway. The apartment is ideal for families - toys are provided for young children, as is a travel cot, a portable high chair and a buggy. There is a cave on the ground floor providing storage for skis/snowboards/bicycles.

Saint Gervais is situated between the resorts of Megeve and Chamonix, within the Evasion Mont Blanc ski area and on the Circuit du Mont Blanc. It is a 19th Century Spa Town, popular in the winter with skiers wanting to access local ski resorts such as Evasion Mont Blanc, Les Houches, Les Contamines and Combleux, and in the summer with climbers and mountaineers.
St Gervais Les Bains area
There are numerous places to visit in the surrounding area - Chamonix and Megeve are only a short drive away, and day trips can be made to Geneva, Annecy and Italy. Activities include paragliding, mountaineering, climbing, cycling, river rafting, and skiing/snowboarding. Children's clubs are available during the summer, and there are plenty of local parks offering a wide range of activities for children of all ages. In the winter there is a mountainside creche available for babies and young children up to the age of 9 (reservations required during school holidays).
How to get there
Cheap flights are available from the UK to Geneva, Grenoble or Lyon with Easyjet. and/or Ryanair. Geneva is just one hour's drive away - Holidayautos are usually very competitively priced for car hire. Alternatively the apartment is 4 km taxi or bus journey from Le Fayet SNCF train station.
