Home description
Situated at the foot of Mont Blanc, St-Gevais is a quaint traditional market town still relatively undiscovered by the majority of British skiers. Our chalet is just 5 minutes away from town placed half way between the ski slopes and the town centre.
The chalet is fully equipped with all amenities and a lovely welcoming log fire. The larger resorts of Chamonix and Les Houches are 30 and 20 minutes drive away, however you can take the Mont Blanc tram up from St-Gervais and ski the Les Houches area.
You can also ski to the opulent town of Megeve from St-Gervais encompassing a huge skiing domain.

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region
The Haute Savoie area of France is teeming with things to do and places to see, Skiing resorts to be visited include Les Contamines,Combloux,Chamonix, Argentiere.The tunnel de Mont-blanc whisks you into Italy in about 30 minutes.
For the non skier the beautiful town of Annecy (compared to Venice) is approximately 1 hour away and Geneva, Evian are beautifully located on the lakeside.
St Gervais Les Bains area
The St-Gervais area has an abundance of activities both in winter and summer and for skier and non-skier alike.
In the nearby town of Le Fayet there is the world famous Thermal springs which specialised in therapeutic and beauty treatments.
St-Gervais hosts a large outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, an Olympic ice-skating rink and the oldest tram in Europe. Snow shoeing in the winter and extensive walks in the summer months with local maps available from the tourist office.
White water rafting, horse riding and zip-wiring are all activities that can be enjoyed in the summer months. Mountain biking is also popular with special cable cars to take your bike up the mountain for you to enjoy the descent.

How to get there
Approx 1 and a quarter hrs drive from Geneva airport, cheap flights through British airways from LGW and LHR or Easyjet from Gatwick, possibly jet2 from Manchester.

Further details indoors: Perfectly suited for families as we have a TV/DVD mezzanine where children can disappear to after tea, allowing the adults some grown up time. A Gentle sloping field in front of our property is ideal for sledging and snowball fights.
