This cosy, well equipped property has a fabulous outlook over Mont Blanc and comprises the ground floor of a two storey chalet. It is situated in the peaceful hamlet of Le Grattague which is about 1.5 km from the telecabine at Le Bettex and about 6 kms from the town of St Gervais. Enjoy the stunning views of Mont Blanc from the sunny chalet garden and terrace.
The general area around St Gervais is fabulous for winter sports with some 400km of pistes accessible via a telecabine at Le Bettex which is just 1.5km from the chalet. It is especially suitable for families with sking to suit all abilities. During the Summer season there is an equal abundance of activities such as hiking, mountain biking, horseriding, golf, paragiling, rafting, swimming, summmer luge and many others all within close proximity.

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region
This is a superb walking area and golf, mountain biking, horse riding and para gliding amongst other activities are available locally. The resorts of Megeve and Chamonix are easily accessible by car where there are summer luge runs which are great fun for children (and adults). Rafting is also available.
St Gervais Les Bains area
Skiing Information: Le Grattague is a small holiday hamlet which has very easy access to the St Gervais - Megeve ski area providing over 350kms of pistes. It is a very peaceful area at an elevation of about 1300m and although it is easily accessible, a car is essential.
There is a large telecabine, two chairlifts and tows at Le Bettex which is 1.5km away. The ski bus stops approx 100m from the chalet. Slightly closer is a ski tow at Les Communailles which is approximately 1 km away although practically Le Bettex is easier. The skiing is suitable for all abilities with a number of green and blue runs and some more challenging reds and blacks for the more experienced skiers. Excellent skiing can also be found at Les Contamines or Les Houches/Chamonix using the Mont-Blanc ski pass.
There are 2 ski schools and local shops at Le Bettex (1.5 Kms). St Gervais, which is 10 minutes by car, has a full range of shops, bars and cafes. Cross country skiing and ice skating are also available.
In the summer this is an excellent area for walking and mountain biking. There are many attractions in the area such as the Tramway Mont Blanc and the telepherique to Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix , a town which has multiple attractions and hiking possibilities.
There is golf in nearby Megeve and Chamonix and there are bathing lakes at Sallanches.
The local telecabine at Le Bettex operates in summer months and gives access to Mont Joly and some beautiful local walks. Or, simply walk straight from the chalet door to many locations including St Nicolas de Veroce where there is a renowned Baroque Church.
How to get there
-By air to Geneva (Easyjet, BA) - St Gervais is 70 kms from airport - approx 1 hour.
-By air to Lyon - St Gervais is approx 2 hours from airport.
-By rail (TGV) to Le Fayet - approx 15 - 20 mins transfer by taxi.
-Drive from Channel ports - approx 8 - 9 hours from Calais by Autoroute. Chalet is approx 15 - 20 mins from autoroute.

Further details indoors: The chalet has 2 bedrooms, a spacious lounge/dining/kitchen room together with a bathroom and separate WC with a total floor area of some 62m2. It is well furnished with two easy chairs, one double sofa bed and one twin sofa bed in the lounge area which also has a feature fire place. The kitchen diner is well equipped with large dining table (6 seats) and dresser. The kitchen has full hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher and microwave oven. A small washing machine is also available in the bathroom. The main bedroom has a double bed whilst the second bedroom is equipped with two bunks beds, plus drawer bed, and one single bed.
Further details outdoors: There is a swimming pool and tennis court for the exclusive use of residents of Le Grattague both within 100 m of the chalet meaning it is a great location for families.
Conditions
We prefer to let on a Saturday to Saturday basis but will consider alternative days and short term lets.
