Home description
The apartment is unique due to it's size as it is a large apartment relative to other ski rental properties. It has been recently refurbished and has 3 bedrooms, a twin, a double with a king sized bed and a bunk room all with built in wardrobes. It also has 2 balconies, one off the kitchen and one off the lounge. The lounge has a large seating area with TV and DVD player and a table for dining. The balcony runs the length of the lounge and there is a small table and chairs for eating outside and to admire the beautiful views across the valley and the mountains beyond. The Kitchen also has a table and chairs for dining and is fully equipped. There is one bathroom with bath, toilet, basin, washing machine and a dryer.
The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of an apartment block (please note there is no lift) with a ski locker on the ground floor. It is situated a 5 minute walk from town and 10 minutes from the Mont D'Arbois cable car. The apartment is also next to the olympic sized ice rink and in the summer the town's outdoor pool and sports centre containing a number of tennis courts.

The Rhone area offers everything the holidaymaker could want; from a flurry of activities such as fishing,canoeing an watersports on the Rhone itself, to the busy city of Lyon, France gastronomic capital and to the East the Alpes offers some of the most spectucular mountain scenery in Europe and someof the most prestigious ski resorts.
Winter Activities: Skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, Ice Skating, ice dancing and ice hockey, paragliding, mountain railway TMB (St Gervais to Col de Voza) tobogganing, snow shoe walking (many designated hiking routes), snow park, and a ski entertainment area for young children.
Summer Activities: Tennis, walking, ice skating, ice dancing and ice hockey, hang-gliding, paragliding, mountain railway (St Gervais to Col de Voza), fishing, horse riding, golf, mini golf, cycling, mountain biking on marked trails, canoeing, white water rafting, canyoning, kayaking, rock climbing, hot iar ballooning, water sports lakes with beach (Passy 10 min drive / Let Contamines 10 min drive), summer tobogganing at Megeve and Chamonix, Summer skiing on Mont Blanc.
There are Golf championship courses at Megeve (10 mins from the mazot) and Chamonix (20 mins). Mini golf is available at St Gervais.
St Gervais Les Bains area
St Gervais is a charming spa town located half-way between Megeve and Chamonix. It is small enough to feel in the heart of the mountains but large enough to have some good restaurants, bars, quality shops, an olympic sized ice rink, national ice hockey games, outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and large spa complex for both medical and health and beauty treatments.
The apartment is a 10 minute walk to the main cable car where you have access to the St Gervais ski domain. It is a vast ski area (including a snow park with half pipe which was used in the 2002 olympics) covering 500km of pistes, 125 ski lifts from an altitude of 1000 to 2350m. The ski pass covers: St Gervais, St Nicolas de Veroce, Megeve, Combloux (which are all linked), Les Contamines and Les Houches. Les Contamines is vast ski area only 10 minute drive from St Gervais which was featured in the Storm Riders guide for Snowboarders as it’s known for the off piste skiing/boarding and open slopes. Les Houches is part of the Chamonix Valley which is accessible via the tramway (TMB) which departs from St Gervais.
How to get there
The apartment is in the town of St Gervais which is conveniently located only 1 hour from Geneva Airport and budget airlines regularly fly from all UK airportsto Geneva airport. We recommend hiring a car for ease but there are buses (both private and shared) which run from the airport to the town.

Companies we have used are Cham Van, Alpy Bus, Ski-Lifts, ATS and SAT Mont Blanc (regular buses but to Le Fayet only). There are many more and we recommend you shop around.
Alternatively you can drive from the UK, Boat from Dover to Calais / Poole to Cherbourg / Portsmoth to Le Havre and an 8/9 hour drive to St Gervais.

A deposit of approx 25% of the total price is required when booking. Payment of the remaining balance is due 2 months before arrival as well as a security deposit of £100 which will be refunded in full providing ther are no breakages or damage to the property or its contents.
