St Gervais and its surrounding area is famous for the great skiing in winter and in summer the climbing, cycling and walking. The town has a good snow record in the winter and in the summer and autumn it is warm and sunny.
St Gervais Les Bains area
Saint Gervais is a beautiful savoyard village with a friendly atmosphere. It is home to Europe's highest mountain, Mont Blanc and has been a popular holiday destination for over a hundred years. The village is steeped in history and the lovely baroque church is the central point of the village. There are a good range of shops, supermarkets, bars, potteries, art galleries and restaurants and every Thursday morning there is a market, when the village's main square becomes a hive of activity.
St Gervais has a huge number of activities on offer. It is popular with walkers and cyclists in the summer -it is one of the starting points for the Tour du Mont Blanc - and in the winter Saint Gervais has a large ski area (over 400 km) which links to nearby Megeve. The Evasion Mont Blanc ski pass will give you access to St Gervais, St Nicholas de Veroce, Les Contamines, Megeve, Combloux and La Glettaz. The Mont Blanc Tramway can be taken from Saint Gervais to the Bellevue plateau (1800m) or the Prarion giving skiers access to the Les Houches ski area in winter. Or it can be taken by walkers or those just wishing to see the wonderful panorama in winter or summer.
Parapenting, water sports and golf (the nearest course is Megeve) are all easily available nearby.
For those who would like to relax a little St Gervais's famous thermal parc offers complementary therapies and massage. The village also has an open air swimming (open June-September), an olympic sized ice rink, tennis courts and mini-golf (summer only).
The towns of Megeve and Chamonix are just a 20 minute drive away and the pretty medieval town of Annecy is one hour away should you wish to explore a little further.
How to get there

We are able to organise a transport service from the Airport to the accommodation. Alternatively, you can hire a car through a number of different car hire companies. We recommend that you hire a car from the Swiss side of Geneva airport. This is the easiest and quickest way out of the airport.
The area is about 800km from Calais by car. There are autoroutes covering the entire length of the journey and it takes roughly 8 hours.
It is possible to travel by train. The closest station is at Le Fayet/St Gervais which connects with SNCF services to Chamonix.

Further details indoors: Beautifully furnished in a contemporary style, this comfortable apartment benefits from under floor heating, a large double bedroom and a well sized, open plan living area. The whole apartment has been recently refurbished and tastefully redecorated with some nice features.
The kitchen area is equipped with a full oven and 4 ring ceramic hob, and the lounge comfortably seats 4 on one double sofa bed and two single sofa beds. There's also a TV with DVD player if you'd rather have a quiet night in after an active day.
The living area also opens out onto your own private terrace, again with the wonderful views that the rest of the apartment shares.
The apartment has a well sized shower room and a separate WC.
During the evening you are less than 10 minutes walk from the nearest bar and the centre of St Gervais, with its many bars and restaurants, is only 15 - 20 minutes walk away.
The apartment also has its own large private ski locker.
Further details outdoors: Les G'rets has it's own outdoor swimming pool which is open during the summer months (July-September).

Guests receive a welcome pack of food and drink, complimentary toiletries, all bed linen and towels. Water, heating, electricity, and cleaning are all included. Upon arrival guests are met, providing an opportunity to receive any local information or help that is required. We are also happy to book ski lessons, ski passes and ski hire prior to your arrival.
Guests receive a 10% discount on ski hire.
Conditions
A refundable damage/cleaning deposit of 250 Euros will be required in the form of cash or credit card details. A deposit of 25% of the total price is required when booking. Payment of the remaining balance is due 8 weeks before arrival. Payment can be made by credit or debit card (3% surcharge levied on credit cards).
