You will find this recently refurbished and renovated apartment on the ground floor. There are two bedrooms plus a double sofa bed in the living room. There is a double bed in the main bedroom and a bunk bed in the second bedroom. There is also a folding bed stored underneath the bunk bed.There is a fully equipped separate kitchen which has recently been updated with white goods. There is a full cooker and oven, fullsize dishwasher, microwave , fridge/freezer and a washing machine in the bathroom. Electric heating , hot water, the use of a ski locker room are all included in the rental. Cleaning equipment is provided, including a vacuum cleaner, ironing board with iron, brushes and mops. The property comes with all utensils one would ever need. There is also a children's potty and a child booster seat. The apartment has 2 balconies, one off the lounge/dining room running the full width and the other off the main bedroom facing west, both with mountain views. The large shletered south facing balcony has a sun lounger, 4 chairs and table.

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region
This region of the Alps is dominated by Mont-Blanc at 4810 m, the highest peak in Europe. The Haute Savoie is especially rich in natural attractions. A delightful rack and pinion tram, the oldest in France takes you throughout the year from St.Gervais to the lower slopes of Mont-Blanc and one of its many glaciers at 2350 m. The Aiguille du Midi boasts the highest ski lift in Europe for all round skiing at 3,842 m. Chamonix is a short 25 minute drive away and is very popular with British tourists throughout the year for walking and skiing. Megeve is only 11 kms away from St.Gervais and has gained its reputation as being an exclusive resort for the riche. Le Fayet , 5 kms away is internationally re-known for its thermal baths and Spa.
St Gervais Les Bains area
St. Gervais is a picturesque old town based at 850 metres. The mountains around St.Gervais produce superb snow records throughout the winter. The whole area has a wide range of activities to offer both in the summer and winter. Young children can be looked after in a creche or kndergarten ski school in Le Bettex , the first ski lift station from St.gervais. There are a number of cross country skiing tracks in winter and more paths available in summer months for walking. The summer months provide possibly more activities in the region with white water rafting, parapenting, miles of routed hiking and mountain biking, grotto, cave and glacier walking, tennis and golf. Throughout the summer months there is a weekly welcome from the mayor and council in the town centre. The local market takes over the centre of town every thursday selling fresh locally grown produce and clothing. There are numerous cheese and wine festivals throughout the region in the summer months.
How to get there
Fly to Geneva - St.Gervais is 70 kms from the airport (1 hour's drive). Fly to Lyon - St.Gervais is 2 hours from the airport Fly to Milan - St.Gervais is 2hrs 30 mins from Malpensa airport (via mont blanc tunnel) Regular coach services to St.Gervais from Geneva airport.
Drive from Calais, Boulogne,Dieppe, Le Harve, or Caen to St.Gervais ( all approx 8-9 hours on Autoroute). St.Gervais is located 10 mins from Autoroute.

Further details indoors: The apartment has many board games, novels and selected dvds. The lounge area has a colour t.v and dvd player along with a radio/c.d player. A small selection of dvds have been left but it is advisable to bring your own.A booster chair, potty and travel cot are also provided for those with young children. There is also a comprehensive file full of activities offered within the region.
Further details outdoors: Parking is provided at the front of the apartment block which is just off the road. There is also private parking for residents and guests behind the apartments which can be accessed via the side of the block.

Guests are asked to lower the metal shutter in the lounge when leaving the premises for the last time. Please make sure that the apartment is cleaned and left in a good state of order for the next incoming guests. A refundable deposit of 150 euros will be taken by the conceirge on arrival in the event of the apartment being left dirty or due to breakages.
Conditions
No pets are allowed and smoking is only permissable outside on the balconies. Incoming guests must arrive after 12 noon and out-going guests must leave by 11 am. Out-going guests must leave the apartment in the same condition as they found it, please.
