Home description
The location and property offers a relaxing base for a quiet or active holiday. Suitable for families or couples, especially those who wish to enjoy the ability to experience the beauty of true french life. Cooking in the modernised kitchen or on the bbq and sitting outside until late after watching the sun set is a truely theraputic experience. Staying in this farmhouse certainly allows you to escape from the fast pace of life and settle into a more comfortable pace but with all your usual home comforts. Safe and very suitable for families to share a holiday together. If required an attached gite can also be hired at a much cheaper rate and with a 10% discount on the complete booking should two families prefer a little more privacy on a joint holiday.

The Loire Valley / Mayenne region
The Loire valley has a multitude of lovely towns and villages all with traditional french facilities. Many have rivers or lakes. It is not full of tourists and you will need to try speaking French! Climate is usually a little warmer then southern England but quite a similar mix. The pace of life is definatly more relaxed then the UK.
St Germain De Coulamer area
St Germain De Coulamer is a quiet village with a lovely church, boulangerie, local shop and bar/restaurant. There are beautiful walks and cycles along extremely quiet roads and through many lovely local villages. Local towns of Villaines-la- Juhel and Sille-le Guillaume are a 10 minute drive away and each hosts a local market once a week, cafes, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. There is a lido in Villaines and the old town in Sille with its beautiful church allows for some culture. The lake at Sille is a real bonus with a sandy beach, safe and well supervised bathing areas, pedalos, fishing, cycling as well aschildren's activities such as pony rides, mini golf and go-karting. There are many other lovely towns and villages to visit and the local Alpes Mancelles are beautiful and offer even more stunning walks, river experiences, pony trecking, canoeing and Kayaking. Also an outdoor adventure centre which is located in St Leonard de Bois, with climbing and zip wires for children from the age of 5 (Green runs) up to adult (Black runs). Great fun! There is a fun theme park for children age between 3-14 just outside Le Mans(50 mins from house) and a zoo in La Fleche (80 mins from house).

Travel via Eurotunnel to Calais. 4 hour drive via Rouen. (A16-A28)

There will be a £100 damage waiver deposit taken prior to booking which will be refunded upon safe hand back of property and return of keys.
All occupants will be required to sign a decleration form confirming that: 1) They take full responsibility for themselves and their party when residing at Le Haute Farmhouse. 2) All damages and breakages will be paid for. 3) The owner accepts no risks or liabilities what so ever. 4) The key is returned to the local key holder at the end of the holiday unless another arrangement has been made with the owners.

The price from May-Sept includes use of the swimming pool. There is the choice of an additional pool clean during your stay which will be 25 Euros and can be organised with our local representative at the initial pool demo.
A deposit of 30% of the booking fee needs to be paid on confirmation of booking and the final payment should be paid 6 weeks before holiday dates. Please contact for payment methods.
There is an attached gite (sleeps 4) which can also be hired. These prices are displayed above in the second table.This is however subject to availability. The gite is also advertised seperately but the two are most suitable to hire together.
