The Gite is set in the countryside, amongst the farms of Mayenne. 2 acres of landscaped grounds with an orchard and walk ways, areas for seating. A small above ground pool with decking. Gravelled area for BBQs 'Petanque' and enjoying the peace over a few chilled glasses of wine. The comfortable 'Gite' is an independant accommodation, for 6/7 200 year old stone farm house. Character and oak features, with 3 bedrooms, a shower room, 2 loos, a mezzanine lounge, and a kitchen diner. Also Camping facilities on this private farm in the Alpes Mancelles..

The Loire Valley / Mayenne region

Set against a back drop of the National Park Alps Mancelles, the area contains a pilgrims route, the birth place of William the Conquerer, the Spa town of Bagnoles D'Orne, old walled town St Suzanne. the Chateau Lassay, Medieaval history abounds in the cities of Le Mans ( not to mention the 'Racing'). Then the many Markets, the Antique hunting, the Brocantes and wonderful restaurants where one eats three or more courses with wine for under 10 euros. Visiting the cheese makers or the gardens of Manet, Basillica at Evron or Liseaux. The Catherderals in Le Mans or any of the larger towns. The friendly locals, Where the 2nd world war finished, also a place that many of our grandfathers etc fought and died to preserve peace.

St Germain De Coulamer area

St Germain De Coulamer is a quiet village with a lovely church, boulangerie, local shop and bar/restaurant. There are beautiful walks and cyclerides along extremely quiet roads and through many lovely local villages. Local towns of Villaines-la- Juhel and Sille-le Guillaume are a 10 minute drive away and each hosts a local market once a week, cafes, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. There is a lido in Villaines and the old town in Sille with its beautiful church allows for some culture. The lake at Sille is a real bonus with a sandy beach, safe and well supervised bathing areas, pedalos, fishing, cycling as well aschildren's activities such as pony rides, mini golf and go-karting and s just 10 mins away. There are many other lovely towns and villages to visit and the local Alpes Mancelles are beautiful and offer even more stunning walks, river experiences, pony trecking, canoeing and Kayaking. Also an outdoor adventure centre which is located in St Leonard de Bois, with climbing and zip wires for children from the age of 5 (Green runs) up to adult (Black runs). Great fun! There is a fun theme park for children age between 3-14 just outside Le Mans(50 mins) and a zoo in La Fleche (80 mins).

Further details

A Standard practice of a 'Key deposit' is customary. A 100 Euro held until the departure.

This is only as cover against unreasonable breakages or damage and subsequently usually returned on the day of departure. Thank you for your understanding.

Cleaning can be completed at a charge of 30 euros if you are unable to do this on the morning of your departure.

Conditions

The 'Gite' has a steep oak spiral staircase, a gate can be provided for younger people.
No smoking is permitted in side the property. Old Oak etc...
Also camping pitches with hook up on site.

A 20% deposit secures your booking, ( Sorry not refundable with-in 4 weeks of your booking.)

Dogs have to be on lead, due to chickens/ ducks and other considerations.

Weekly letting includes, bedding, blankets, towels, electric, gas, metered water, hot water. Tea and coffee making facilities, with access to grounds, pool, washing machine, table tennis and darts, etc.

Please pay fees in full by 4 weeks of arrival. Maximum occupancy of self catering Gite is 7. Also camping pitches & facilities on this farm.

Part weeks rental of the gite for a 2 night min only £90. (120 euros min for two nights).

Towel Hire available - £5 per week

Babysitting available - £15 (20 euros) up to 4 hours
