This typical Normandy thatched cottage is situated in the sleepy la vallee buisson with extensive views and peaceful surroundings. It is a bird’s paradise, and rivers and lakes surround. The cottage is furnished and equipped to a high standard. There are two external doors. The Dining room door opens onto a grassy area surrounded by roses and flowers. The lounge door leads to another grassy area, with peaceful views and glorious colours of the valley.
We have French and English neighbours - each family dotted along the valley. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and invitations for aperitifs are numerous! The Normandy / Eure region
The L'Eure region of France is referred to as Suisse Normande with undulating valleys and hills. Little villages nestle in between extensive woodland, which beckons walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers. There is so much to do and see in Normandy and especially in the Eure. We are on the border of Calvados - the 'apple brandy' region, with glorious orchards and doe eyed cows providing the numerous delicious cheeses. I could go on extolling the virtues and wonders of this part of France. Why don't you find out for yourself!
St Georges du Vievre area
Fishing, Golf, Hunting, Bird watching, Horse riding. Just two hours away – ‘DISNEYLAND'! An outdoor heated swimming pool nearby in St.Georges. In Brionne another pool; also a lake for swimming, boating and windsurfing; a children’s' playground, showers and cafe. The beautiful beaches of Honfleur and Deauville are within 30 minutes car ride.
Honfleur is an artists' paradise with medieval timbered buildings overlooking a pretty harbour. The Notre Dame Abbey of Le Bec Hellouin just a 10 minute car drive. This abbey is twinned with Canterbury Cathedral and its history goes back to the 10th century; the choir of nuns and monks as beautiful as the songs sung by the many species of birds. Le Bec Hellouin is a charming village with shops and restaurants to suit most tastes. St.Gregoire is accessible to the cities of Paris, Rouen and Vernon, where Claude Monet lived and painted. Normandy is the crown in the jewel of France. Perfect base for prospective buyers of property in this region.
