''Property was excellent; clean, well equipped and spacious. Pool was a very good size and the pool furniture was of good quality. Lots of room for the 8 of us to spread out around the pool and house. Location was excellent – close to good beaches at Coral Bay, antiquities in and around Paphos plus access to Akamas Peninsular and Latchi and Polis on the north coast. Recommend Correlia Beach, a walk up the Akamas Gorge followed by lunch at the Viklari, The Last Castle Restaurant; a full day boat trip from Latchi harbour along the Akamas Peninsular aboard the Nafiska 11. Very satisfied with your service, – arrangements were superb. Alexander was friendly and helpful locally. We enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Cyprus – many thanks for all the arrangements – everything was great from the moment we arrived at the airport – with two people to meet us – one for taxi and one for car hire.''
The Paphos District
Birthplace of Aphrodite and in Roman times the capital of Cyprus, Paphos is one of the most beautiful and ancient towns of Cyprus and is situated on the southwest coast. Sheltered from the north by the Troodos Mountains, it has the healthiest climate in the Mediterranean. Paphos Harbour with it's ancient castle, marine and water sports centres, is lined with colourful restaurants serving fresh fish and marine delicacies. Nearby are archaeological sites, rich with antiquities, providing an interest away from the usual - in fact UNESCO has included Paphos on it's World Cultural Heritage List.
In walking distance of the villa are around 6 traditional tavernas serving BBQ'd meat and local dishes of the highest quality. You are only a 5-7 minute drive from Coral Bay, Peyia village and 20 minutes into Paphos town. Easy access can be gained to the beautifully traditional village of Kathikas and you can also easily reach Polis and Latchi on the other side.
As previously mentioned, the beach and coastline can be walked to (going past some very nice and upmarket gated villas may we add) in under 10 minutes with a choice of routes and areas of coastline to enjoy. Agios Georgios has a renowned fish taverna where fresh fish is brought from fishing vessels that are stationed in the picturesque harbour situated directly below.
The monastery at Agios Georgios is beautifully architectured and is always a draw for visitors to the area.
If you want to get out and explore some fantastic scenery, take a trip to the Akamas, Polis, Latchi or even Troodos mountains. The Akamas is an untouched part of Cyprus with unspoilt coastline and traditional fish taverns in stunning seaside locations. Troodos is of course the main mountain range in Cyprus, not many people know that in the winter....you can ski! It may well be the perfect location for a vacation retreat.
Buses travel all around Paphos and surrounding villages. The current deal of a day pass is 2 euros making this a great value way to see around the area..

"Lovely villa in a quiet coastal village not far from Coral Bay, Paphos"
Villa Orchid was a beautiful villa in Agios Georgious not too far from Coral Bay. The use of the 4 wheel drive car was a fantsastic bonus and we took advantage of it to drive over the hills to other towns and beaches and out to the Akamas Peninsula. The harbour at Paphos is beautiful and we enjoyed several meals there during our stay. Prior to going to Cyprus we had some reservations as to whether the banks would be open or our credit cards would be accepted - we needn't have worried as there was no problems. The weather was between 20 and 30 degrees during the week - such a change from the snow we left behind in the midlands. The owner of the villa was very helpful as was Andreas our taxi driver who met us at the airport and gave us a very warm welcome to Cyprus. We booked him to collect us for our return journey to the airport and he arrive very promptly. We will certainly return to your beautiful country.
Hi Catherine, Many thanks for your review and helping us reverse some of the impressions people may be forming from what they have heard in the news media. We are very pleased you enjoyed the villa and embraced all the positive aspect of the area. We would be happy to have you back any time. Thank you once more.

"Want peaceful, lazy comfort? - this is the villa to choose"
This is a lovely, comfortable villa with lots of room and a well appointed kitchen. There are no shops nearby but the huge fridge/freezer was excellent and meant we only needed to visit the supermarket once each week. A very nice beach is only 5 minute walk downhill where there is an excellent small beach cafe where they make fresh sandwiches and wraps to order. They sell tea, coffee, pop and beer and the prices were very reasonable. You need sea shoes to do more than paddle as there are lots of slippy rocks but once you're in, the water is lovely. There is a lovely bar/restaurant within 5 minute walk. Coral Bay is a 10 minute drive away where there are loads of lovely bars and restaurants. There were 8 of us so we had a mini-bus to take us there which was 20 Euros. Pafos is about a 20 minute drive away and there is a large car park very near the harbour which is free of charge. We loved Pafos harbour with all its bars and restaurants. All-in-all we had an excellent holiday here.
