Inside Out
About the home
Approved by The Bureau of Standards in association with The Grenada Board of Tourism. This is the nearest thing to Paradise but don't take my word for it come and see for yourselves!
The apartment is in the grounds of the owners' house in a rural area; a car is recommended. There are stairs to the property but the accommodation is entirely on one level. The bedrooms are light and airy with large double wardrobes and flyscreens at all windows. There are free standing fans in the rooms for your use.
"Inside Out", the name of our house, sums up what this wonderful place is all about. With one of your sitting rooms outside your front door; you have a balcony view of the movie world in front of you with no obstacles to mar the views. Breakfast in the shade of the Gazebo, the pool to walk into and a long seat at one end just right for 'liming'. Oh the good life! You can enjoy all meals outside and if you don't want to cater for yourselves we will do it for you. You will not taste fish like ours which has been freshly prepared for you and served with fragrant herbs and some lightly roasted or sauteed sweet potato. Our very popular speciality on Sundays is a delicious curry lunch. You will start lunch at 2p.m. and still be there at 5p.m! There are various dishes to try and conviviality and a generous table is a heady mix and not to be missed.
We also cater for WEDDINGS so we take the pressure off you. We will cut through the red tape and you can simply enjoy your Big Day as well as the catering.
At "Inside Out" we offer a relaxed and stress-free holiday, without traffic noises and in the evenings you will be soothed by the beauty of the sunsets, fire-flys flashing lights in the bushes like christmas tree decorations and the crickets and tree frogs chiruping all around.

The Saint George region

Grenada is one of most southern of the islands in the east caribbean. The climate is virtually the same the whole year round with temperatures during the day of about 31c dropping to around 23c at night. It is known for its friendliness and the good nature of the inhabitants.
Between April and September you will see Leatherback Turtles nesting on beaches in the north of the island and very likely too you will see the latest hatchlings finding their way to the sea.
On these beautiful shores we also make some of the World's best chocolate; the rich and creamy and velvety smooth dark chocolate is made with 71% of cocoa solids.
Visit Caribs' Leap, a steep cliff face dropping vertically into the sea where in the 17th Century the Carib people threw themselves off the top preferring death to being under French rule.
A trip to our sister island of Carriacou is a must and a daily ferry service will get you to its beautiful shores in 1 1/2 hours. This very beautiful island is charm personified just 18 x 13km and surrounded with white sands and clear blue water.
The St George's / Jean Anglais area
The Carnival takes place in August and lasts for 3 days! There is a fishing regatta in January which is very popular and boats travel from as far as Barbados, Trinidad and Martinique to take part. As you can imagine, because of our wonderful location we also offer great water sports like kayaking, diving and snorkelling.
There is a large local craft market directly on the beach of Grand Anse just a stone's throw from your apartment.
The fishing town of Gouyave hosts a 'Fish Friday' each week throughout the year. You can enjoy the island's freshest fish cooked for you on the streets in town.

We were nine days at 'Inside Out and Ellen Stewart, nine beautiful days in which we enjoyed every moment of this amazing apartment overlooking the wide beach of Grand Anse. The apartment is beautiful, aerated for 18 windows with mosquito nets that make the air conditioning completely unnecessary. The exterior is nothing short of magnificent, beginning with the private pool and the absolute tranquility of this hill, and ending with the sunsets and the view of the most beautiful beach in Grenada. Ellen and Stewart are kind and discreet hosts. Though living in the opposite villa, were never pushy and we could enjoy absolute privacy. And they're lovely people. And Ellen is an amazing cook! We advise everyone to book one or two dinners to be eaten on the terrace overlooking the Grand Anse Beach. An experience we will never forget. We want to take this opportunity to thank Ellen and Stewart once again for everything and for allowing us to stay in the apartment until 5pm, though check out was at 12. Thanks again and warm greetings from Italy. Orietta and Flavio Response: It was our greatest pleasure to meet this lovely Italian couple from Verona, Italy. We are so lucky that we can offer our guests a good holiday, make them feel good, make them laugh but we cry a bit when they leave us. Your appreciation for everything in Grenada and here at "Inside Out" is wonderful and thank you too for the compliments on my cooking. It is great to be doing work that we love so much and thank you for this glowing review. Ellen and Stewart |

We went to Grenada for some serious r and r and we found it at Inside Out. Ellen and Stewart were great hosts, helpful and informative about the island and also arranging our rental car at very competitive rates. Ellen is a great cook and we enjoyed her meals several times, sitting on the veranda overlooking the twinkling lights of Grand Anse. The pool is lovely, just right for a cooling dip after a long day. If you're looking for a comfortable holiday apartment with just a little bit more, then this is it. We will definitely be back! Response: Thank you very much for enjoying "Inside Out" to its fullest extent. The name of this lovely home is exactly perfect because it suits what we had in mind when we built it - your 'inside' is 'out'(side). The climate is conducive to living a life outside and this super friendly couple took it on board and some serious 'r and r' was enjoyed. It's what you need on a holiday as well as all the fun times and we are so happy that we could give them just what they needed. Thank you very much for all the lovely things you say about "Inside Out" and for so enjoying the meals I made for you. Ellen and Stewart |

Excellent hospitality from the beginning with a pick-up from the airport. The "welcome pack" in the refrigerator included home made jam and other goodies. The rooms were clean and airy. The kitchen was well equipped with the necessary utensils and also had two fridges. Both of our hosts were helpful with information, and assisted us in getting a rental car at a competitive rate. Ellen is a superb cook, we had three meals from her - one of which was a special one for our 30th wedding anniversary to which we invited some of our local friends. Stewart keeps the pool crystal clear and clean. The villa has stunning views over Grand Anse beach and the south tip of the island. Also recommended you try swimming by starlight! In fact we are so pleased that we will be booking the "Inside out" villa next year. Response: It was a joy to meet you and we think it's great that you took advantage of the starlit skies to swim in the pool. Now this is making full use of all the goods things Grenada and "Inside Out" can offer you. I was also thrilled to be asked to cook for their 30th Wedding Anniversary when they invited along some of their friends who live on the island. This is a big compliment and I thank you for having the confidence in me to do this for your very special day. Thank you, thank you for all your compliments and we look forward very much to meeting up with you again and hope it won't be too long. Ellen and Stewart |
Guestbook for Inside Out
Excellent. A great find.
Our meals at "Inside Out" were delicious. Some of the best food to be had in Grenada. John and Yong, Arizona.
Ellen and Stewart are great hosts; we had fun and laughter when we wanted it and peace and tranquil times for each other whenever we wanted. We had our meals in the evening outside with candles dotted around the table as our only light and with soft music playing in the background. Roberto and Dina, Switzerland.
The views are stunning and have to be seen to be believed; the closest to Paradise I've ever been. Mark and Joy.
The property is very well equipped and has everything you need for a self-catering holiday. Jana, Germany
