This is a spacious shared house suitable for Language Teachers or University Professors who will be in Canterbury over the summer. Rooms are available from the 1st July to the end of August.
This beautiful, light, spacious, newly refurbished Victorian House in Central Canterbury is a wonderful home from home. We have space for 5 to 6 guests at one time in 5 bedrooms. There is a lovely light communal kitchen, dining area, separate living room and garden. There are 2 bathrooms, and a w.c..
The house is in walking distance to everything this UNESCO heritage city has to offer. It has great public transport links so there is no need for a car. Canterbury West train station is 3 minutes walk so within one hour you can be in London and in 20 minutes you be on Whitstable beach!
This fully serviced property will make your stay in Canterbury very comfortable and enriching. The people who choose to stay at 46 Whitstable Road often have an interest in sustainable and healthy living. The Goods Shed organic farmers market is a few minutes walk away. Organic linen and cleaning products are provided.
The public areas are cleaned weekly and our guests are respectful of others. Often guests choose to share meals.

The Kent region
Canterbury is the cultural capital of 'the garden of England'. A UNESCO heritage city, and home to Canterbury Cathedral, Canterbury is steeped in history. It is a beautiful city with a river meandering through its Middle Age architecture. It is also a modern city and boasts the best Theatre and Concert Venue in Kent, The Marlowe Theatre. Canterbury is very compact and everything is within walking distance. There is a wonderful organic Farmer's Market, The Good's Shed, which has won global awards and hundred's of great places to eat.
Canterbury is a great base for exploring the South of England. A train from Canterbury West is only 1 hour to London. The seaside town of Whitstable is 20 minutes on the bus. You could get the train to a beautiful english village like Wye, and walk back to Canterbury off-road through stunning countryside along the Pilgrim's Way! Faversham is 20 minutes by bus, a seaside town and home to Britain's Oldest Brewery, Shepherd Neame.
