Home description
This beautifully old traditional Provencal house, in its quiet situation, is a minute from the centre of one of Provence's most beautiful unspoilt villages, surrounded by wonderful countryside, rivers, lakes & medieval villages, producing wine, truffles & cherries. Close by is the bustling town of Carpentras, & the colourful city of Avignon half an hour away.
The stylishly decorated & well equipped house provides; a lovely beamed sitting room and an attractive dining room both with open fireplaces, A well equipped kitchen, with granite work tops, lime stone floors, & french windows onto an outside shaded dining terrace. The downstairs floors are all limestone.
There is a lovely garden with swimming pool and barbecue area. It is well equipped with plenty of tables and chairs, and sun loungers.
We were lucky to find this old mas, it was everything we wanted, an old house in a quiet situation, with a large garden, in a truly beautiful village.
We have just had the interior sympathetically renovated and refurbished to a high standard. The house is painted in muted colours in Farrow & Ball paints, and the downstairs floors are lime stone. The furnishings are elegant, but relaxed. The showers are large walk in ones. For winter breaks, it has open log fireplaces, & central heating, making it ideal for off season holidays, when the days are sunny, but the nights are cold and crisp.
The Mas de Maitre has exceptional facilities and is an ideal venue for small weddings, family reunions, corporate retreats, and other gatherings. We can arrange for all the details including catering services by one of the best restaurants in the area.
