The West Wales / Pembrokeshire / Pembrokeshire region
The Pembrokeshire coastline has not been spoilt by tourism or development. It's within the Pembrokeshire National Park which is dedicated to preserving its natural beauty. The stunning coastlne is rugged and interesting with cliffs and plenty of coves to explore, making it ideal for walking and watching wildlife . The largest beaches in the area are Whitesands near St Davids and Newport. There are plenty of historical sites to visit - monuments and burial sites, ancient chapels and St Davids Cathedral.
If you are looking for a relaxing, exciting, adventurous holiday away from the crowds and arcades, Pembrokeshire will not disappoint you.
St David's / Llanrhian area
Access to the coastal path is within half a mile. Also Porthgain harbour is half a mile away and was once a busy seaport and is steeped in ancient and archaelogical history. There are also art galleries, a wine bar, tea room and a bistro. St Davids is just 7 miles away . There are plenty of interesting shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. St Davids Cathedral, Bishops Palace and St Nons chapel are all worth a visit. Fishguard, Solva, St Davids and Newport are all close by. The strumble shuttle is a coastal bus service which stops in Llanrhian en route from Fishguard to St Davids and is a great way of seeing the coastline via Strumble Head without a car, hop on and off wherever you like.
