Cottage | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 2
A genuinely high quality, non-smoking and pet free cottage, all on one level, between St. Davids and Fishguard in the hamlet of Penparc, on the St. Davids Peninsula, close to the centre of the best stretch of the Pembrokeshire coast north east of St Davids. The cottage is situated within the protected Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
There are extensive sea views from the immediate environs altough not from the cottage itself. Just one mile down the lane is the much loved village of Trefin, which is almost surrounded on three sides by the coast.
The cottage has been built in the last few years, but with plenty of character giving the impresssion of a much older cottage. It was actually given in the grading process sufficient points as would ordinarily make it a five star cottge, but the lack of a dishwasher precludes a five star grading, so it is graded four star, but the points awarded reflect the quality
The spacious living room is open up to the rafters and benefits from a log-burning stove giving an open light and truly relaxing feeling. As well as being comfortably furnished the room also has a television, video , DVD player and stereo CD/radio system. This room has the benefit of French doors which open out onto a small garden with garden furniture.
The bedroom has a comfortable double bed with ample wardrobe space and extra thick mattress .
In the bathroom there is a full suite including a bath with good quality shower over.
The dining kitchen has been refitted in the last 18 months by a quality tradesman and benefits from a full size cooker, washing machine, fridge and microwave. There is every gadget and utensil you will need for your holiday along with good quality crockery and utensils.
All furniture beds, bedding and furnishings are of the highest quality and tastefully appointed. The information folders are well organized.
Please will those wishing to book that in addition to the headline ultra low nightly rate, there is also an 'initial rental' of £80 For an explanation of this initial rental, please read the notes below the prices section. Rest assured the eventual figure produced by adding in this 'initial rental' is no more than it was before the 'initial rental' was introduced as nightly and weekly rentals were adjusted accordingly.

The St Davids Peninsula region
The cottage is situated in the hamlet of Penparc, and really well situated for travelling around the St David's Peninsula, being only 300 yards off the main road connecting St Davids to Fishguard. One mile down a quite country lane from our cottages and hamlet is the acclaimed village of Trefin, situated on clifftops between the famous harbours of Porthgain and beautiful Abercastle. Trefin has its own cove on the edge of the village at Aberflin, with numerous rock pools in this small sand and shingle beach which is surrounded on three sides by rugged cliffs. Trefin is quite a bustling village with a pub and a couple of tea shops. Just a few hundred yards south along the coast is a wonderful sandy National trust beach Traethllyfn , and an equally short distance further on is the famed harbour of Porthgain. Beyond that is the beach of Aberreidy, porbably the most painted scene in Wales. Also only a short distance north of our local village, Trefin, is the superb small harbour of Abercastle. Then in either direction on the coast are some wonderful beaches, coves and harbours, all connected by the famous Coast Path. Not far away is the famous RSPB sanctuary island of Ramsey, accessible by regular boat trips from St Justinians just outside St Davids. There are of couse numerous other boating opportunities in the immediate area, as well as surfing, coastering etc
