Cottage | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 6
Park House Has been awarded 5 stars by Visit Wales. It is ideally located for families as it is within a stones-throw of the supermarket, Post Office, and a well equipped children’s play park. It is close to local beaches: one mile from Caerfai Bay (a beautiful secluded and safe cove), and two miles from Whitesands Bay (a long sandy beach renowned for surfing).
The house was built in the 19th century of the same purple Caerfai sandstone used in the Cathedral. It is cosy and welcoming but has been imaginatively renovated on three levels, and tastefully furnished. Stone walls have been exposed or painted white and the floors are stripped boards with rugs. It has a spacious feel, with areas for entertaining, watching TV, or quiet reading. Full gas-fired central heating and a log burning stove in the sitting room make it warm on the coldest days.
Our aim is that you feel welcomed and at home. We have done our utmost to ensure that the house is well decorated, with fixtures and fittings that make it a home rather than just a temporary bolt-hole. It should be cleaned to a high standard by our caretaker.

The garden is approximately thirty yards from the house, accessed via a right of way across our neighbour's garden. It is completely secluded, laid to lawn with mature trees and shrubs and enclosed with a gate. There is a patio with a table and chairs, parasol and barbecue. It is an ideal place for getting away from it all - a real sun-trap.
The house will be warm and the fire ready to light. We supply basics as a starter: dishwasher tablets, clothes washing tablets, washing liquid, and general cleaning products. Hand, bath towels and bath mats are included in the price. There are hair dryers in both first floor bedrooms. A highchair and cot are available on request.
The St Davids Peninsula region
The St Davids Peninsula is a land within a land. The south coast forms part of St Brides bay and the wilder north coast is the westernmost point of Wales. The Welsh Coastal Path meanders along the rim of spectacular sea cliffs and beautiful beaches, all lined with an explosion of wildflowers in spring and summer and wildlife all the year round. Ramsey Island and the Bishops and Clerks float in the mist off the west tip of the peninsula.
A cradle of Christianity, before the Reformation, two pilgrimages to St Davids was the equal of one to Rome. The Cathedral built from purple Cambrian sandstone, dates to the 12th century and has been remodeled by earthquake and man over subsequent centuries. St Davids is the smallest city in Britain and is proud of its history and heritage.
Water sports: excellent surf beaches, coasteering, kayaking, wild-swimming, windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing.
Walking on the Coast path: the excellent local bus service has pick up points at convenient intervals on the Path
Organized trips: Fast rib rides, and trips to and around Ramsey, Skomer and Grassholm islands, to see whales, dolphin, seals, and a multitude of seabirds including puffins gannets and guillemots
Guided walking and water sports
Lots of family friendly places to eat and drink
The St Davids Cathedral Festival of music takes place over nine days in May and June
The Really Wild Food Festival is a must in July
