Home description

Our 2 bedroom apartment is part of a complex set on the beach with a shared swimming pool and gardens as well as secure parking. The double bedroom has a door leading onto the balcony. You could sit in bed with your cup of tea and enjoy the morning view. The other bedroom (with twin single beds) has a window overlooking the beach. On the mezanine we have a fold-out sofa bed, TV and DVD player. The balcony overlooks the sea and beach - excellent for a relaxing on with a glass of local wine!

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Pyrenees-Orientales region

This region is one of France's best-kept secrets. Don't tell anyone! The coastline consists of broad sandy beaches and rocky coves. We have the snow covered mountains of the Pyrenees, through to the rugged foothills and onto the sun baked beaches of the Mediterranean. With mild winters and hot summers, the area boasts itself as being the sunniest in France.
We are also close to the Spanish border and Andorra.


St Cyprien area

Saint-Cyprien has a large and busy marina and 6 kilometres of fine sand stretch along the sandy coast with the Canigou mountain and the Albères hills in the background.

Our apartment is in an ideal location for the family to combine their holiday with a trip into Perpignan to watch their rugby super league team play against Catalans Dragons.

The website contains information and contact numbers for the local sports clubs. There are maps of the village and also a diary showing local events.

15th August is the Catholic Festival "The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary". On this day Saint-Cyprien celebrates with an amazing firework show. We have sat on the beach with several hundred people and watched them. Wow.

Banyuls (nearby town/port) has a wine festival for new wines during the middle of October each year. Their wines include wonderful sweet wines and reccommend they are drank with chocolate......

The nearest airport is Perpignan (approx 45 mins drive). Ryanair fly from London Stansted. Flybe fly from Birmingham, Southampton and Edinburgh. Bmi Baby fly from Manchester.
Gerona is about 1 hour 30 mins away. Ryanair fly from Doncaster, East Midlands, Bournemouth, Blackpool, Dublin, Glasgow and Liverpool.
Car hire can booked via the Internet with many companies available from both Perpignan and Gerona airports.
Eurostar trains run to Perpignan.

There is a secure car park accessed by a magnetic key. The shared outdoor swimming pool is open from mid-May to mid-September. There is also a shallow children's pool. Walk through shared gardens with palm trees to reach the beach. The complex is surrounded by a secure fence with gates leading to the beach and road. During the summer months there is a marque on the beach with a bar meals and drinks served most of the day until late.

£50 deposit on booking - the remainder to be paid 6 weeks prior to travel. Plus a refundable security deposit of £150. We can accept payments by cheque or bank transfer in GBP or Euros.

Bed linen and towels are included in the price. Please take your own beach towels. Nightly rates do not include linen and towels, if only booking one night.

Please leave our apartment clean for the next guest. If you require cleaning to be done this can be booked in advance. Please ask. (Our local maintenance company will change the linen)

We are often flexible with dates, please enquire.

No smoking inside the apartment. No pets.
