Nicely decorated holiday villa in small residence, with communal swimming pool. Away from the main road and car park, it's peaceful and quiet. There is a private parking space and an electrical gate at the entrance of the residence for more security.

You can enjoy the morning sun on the back sheltered terrace or eat outside on the front larger one, equipped with garden furniture, barbecue and sunbathing chairs. It's close to the pool but far enough so that you keep away from noise. Close to the beach and the Capellans shopping centre, it's very pratrical, even if you don't have a car. The house is well equipped and has everything you need to spend a pleasant holiday. It's far enough from the main touristic centre (old port) so that you don't get bothered by the noise but within walking distance, about a 20 minute walk so that you can enjoy restaurants, shops and night animations during the summer. Children will love the small fair at the old port and Aqualand.

In the house, downstairs, the main living/dining room is equipped with table, chairs, sofa, buffets and TV with TNT channels. There is a stereo with radio and compact disk player (does not read MP3). The kitchen is equipped with washing machine, oven grill and under the stairs, you find the fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and toaster. Toilets are separate from bathroom. At the back, there is a small bedroom with a folding double bed for more space during the day and a big wardrobe with sliding doors. Upstairs the large mezzanine is equiped with a king size bed, a single bed (suitable preferably for children), a sofa, a coffee table and a chest of drawers. It's large and cosy.

Bed linen and towels are provided (but not beach towels).

Sorry, pets are not allowed. The house is NON-SMOKING.

All clearning products are provided.

The nearest beach is at a 10 minute walk, there is a shopping centre at less than a 5 min walk where you can find : bakery, small supermarket, fish shop, veg shop, pizzas, restaurants... There is a Lidl nearby.

It's situated at about a 20 minute walk from the old port where you can find many more shops, restaurants, night animations and a small fair. At about two kilometers from the house, there is Aqualand, a big water park that children love.

This accommodation is ideal for families. It's safe for children (the swimming pool is not very deep) and the house is also equiped for babies (cot and high chair). It's also very much appreciated by couples of all ages, and groups of friends.

In the high season, it's busier but it's situated far enough from noise and agitation of the main touristic center of St Cyprien.

In the low season, you can enjoy the area in a more peacefull way.

Further details

In the summer, the rental is from Sunday to Sunday. You get the keys at 2 PM and must give them back at 10 AM the following sunday. During the rest of the year, there is no restriction on changing over day.

The communal swimming pool is opened from 1st June til 30th September, 9 am til 9 pm.

IMPORTANT :

The house must be left in the same state of property you find it. All the necessary ustensils and cleaning products are available to clean the house before leaving.

Sheets and towels are available on request and don't need to be washed by yourselves before you leave.

Some of the highlights of the summer are the fireworks on 14th July and on 15th/16th August. Once in a life time you should try to live the experience of 16th August Fireworks in Collioure. Get a train to Collioure from Elne station (many special trains), spend the day there, have a picnic on the beach and enjoy the night show ! A great day and evening out to remember.

"Lovely apartment with everything you need"

The apartment was clean with everything you could need. There is bedroom area upstairs and a pulldown bed downstairs at the back of the apartment. The kitchen is quite small but there's everything there. A reasonable size loung/diner and separate toilet and bathroom. There is a back and front patio area where you can sit outside to eat your meals. The complex was a reasonable size and the pool was less than a minute walk from the apartment but you couldn't hear any noise from it. Lovely bakery, bar and restaurants nearby. The main port is about a 20 minute walk away with lots more shops and restaurants. At the Tourist Information Office in the Port free Wi-Fi is available. The is a lovely beach just along from the Tourist Office. However, there is a beach nearer to the apartment which is just as nice and only a 10 minute walk. There is a Lidl close by too. Laurance, the owner, picked us up from Perpignan train station (for 50 euros return) and then gave us a quick tour of St Cyprien, showing how to get to places and recommending places to eat and shop. She also took us to the supermarket to get heavy item which we wouldn't be able to carry back. It is a 20 minute walk to the waterpark and 10 minutes to the local sports centre where you can play squash, tennis etc. There is a bus into Perpignan for 1 euro per person each way. We had a lovely stay and if we were to come back to this area we would like to stay here again.

"Small, comfortable, close to shops, restaurants, beach & pool"

My wife & I had stayed near St Cyprien before, but this time we wanted to be within walking distance of the beach as were on motorcycles, so didn't want to have to kit up every time. Not only near the beach, the excellent local shops (although not cheap) and couple of restaurants, was less than 5 minutes walk. The beach about 10 minutes, the harbour with it's many restaurants, 20 minutes. The weather in June had just settled into the mid 20s, so the pool (1 minute walk, but out of sight, so no noise) was very welcome & we used it nearly every day. The accommodation is exactly as described on Holiday Lettings, it isn't large but it is comfortable. If we'd been a large party and the weather hadn't been good then it might have been interesting trying to sit everyone down to eat, but this wasn't the case. I noticed a comment in previous feedback about the state of the rear decking. This has been rectified, and is perfectly acceptable. We had breakfast out there a couple of mornings, but generally preferred the front, with it's awning & large table, and spent most of our time at the gite out here, reading, eating, playing cards. Laurence met us on arrival and was very welcoming, and even took us shopping in her car (as we were on motorbikes). She was just as friendly a fortnight later to see us (reluctantly) off, and was happy to arrive early so that we could get a good start.

"A lovely property in a beautiful area"

From the time of booking the wonderful owner, Laurance’ was the perfect landlady, the directions to the apartment were clear and precise and we were greeted by her on time, on arrival we found 2 bottles of wine and a flask of cold water in the fridge, what better way to arrive!! The house was beautifully decorated and all of the furnishings in good order, the beds comfortable and all appliances functioning normally, even the neighbours were agreeable!! All in all we had a wonderful week and are planning to re-book for 2 weeks next August. Many thanks Laurence. David, Kim, Sophia & Maddi

We were a family of four, two young children aged 4 & 2. We loved this house, it had everything we needed and it was in a great location. This review could not be completed without a mention of the house owner Laurance, she was a lady that could not have done more of us - Highly recommended.

"Just love this place and will keep going back!!!!!!"

La Marina is just fantastic, sitting on a Marina, walking distance to small shopping centre, resturants and to the beach, what more could one ask for! This has being our second visit, first time was with our 3 sons and we had a fantastic time. This time we got to go on our own which was a wonderful treat and most relaxing holiday!

"Pleaseant and Relaxing"

We had a very pleasant 2 week stay here. The accommodation is small but doens't feel it. The mezzanine floor has plenty of space with a double bed, a single bed, a sofa and chest of drawers, no hanging space for clother upstairs. The mattress on the single bed is very soft, and i'd suggest is only suitable for kids. Downstairs, the lounge diner is fine with everything you could need. We had good weather so didn't spend any time in here. The kitchen is very small but has eveything you'd need. Fridge and freezer, kettle and toaster are under the stairs next to the kitchen. Toilet and bathroom are fine, the bathroom could do with the shower pole fixing so you don't have to hold the shower head, also the bath tap was loose and sticky to switch between shower and bath mode. The rear bedroom was fine. The rear patio was small, with a largely rotten wood floor, and no garden furniture to sit on, so we never used it. The front patio has a tiled floor and basic plastic furniture and a barbeque. Most of the time was spend sitting out here. All the neighbours were very nice. There is only 1 hire car in the area from a super u supermarket about 30 mins walk away, so if you want a car book before you come here. The owners offered a very competiive rate to pick us up from the airport and take us back at the end of our stay, they also took us to the local shops to stock up on our arrival.
