The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

The region has two National Parks, one coastal, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and one mountainous, the Brecon Beacons National Park. There are also some of the best beaches in the country along the Carmarthenshire coast. The town of Laugharne is only 20 mins drive from Cefnmeurig, Tenby 30 mins and St Davids, 50 mins. Carmarthen is the oldest town in Wales with legends linked with Merlin the magician and has some interesting independent shops, market and museum. The region has numerous castles, some built by the Normans and others built by the Welsh Princes. Carmarthenshire is famed for it's gardens and the National Botanic Garden of Wales is well worth a visit.

St Clears

St Clears is a town steeped in legend and there is iron work sculpture doted throughout the town reflecting these stories. The Landsker Border Walking Trail is very close to Cefnmeurig but one can spend at least a day happily exploring the land around the farm. The town of Narberth with its shops and cafes is only 20 minutes away. Laugharne is always a popular town to visit as it is on the coast and because of its links with Dylan Thomas.

Thank you very much Pamela and it was very good to hear that your important weekend went well. I was so pleased that I was able to meet you. I know I'm bias but I do think Cefnmeurig is a very special place. I hope to see you again in the not too distant future.
