The Basse-Normandie region

Normandy is the gastronomic area of France. The beautiful historic Norman towns of Rouen and Caen are easily accesible, as is Bayeux with its famous tapestry. Close too are the Normany beaches; the cliffs at famous Etretat with its golf course overlooking the sea; Deauville, with its close neighbour Trouville, famous for the casino and film festival and long sandy beach and promenade. The Seine flows through Honfleur and pleasure boats and cruisers take holiday makers on day trips. If all this seems too much for a leisurely holiday, then just sit and people watch whilst enjoying a drink or look at the artists busy at work, until it's time to choose your restaurant for the evening!

St Catherine's Quarter

Honfleur, with its magnificent XVth century wooden church "Eglise de Sainte Catherine" , Saturday market, bars and restaurants, swimming pool, tennis courts, park, lake and beach has something for everyone.

"What a little gem this is"

This was our second visit to this flat and will almost certainly not be our last. It is so convenient for all that Honfleur has to offer and is well equipped, spotless and very comfortable. The free parking pass is a real bonus as parking in Honfleur in peak season can be a nightmare. We enjoyed having English tv channels, especially as we were there during the Olympics. All the contact I had by email with the owner was friendly and very helpful both times that we rented the property. My only word of caution would be that the stairs are very steep with very deep risers. Anyone with mobility issues would find them impossible.

"Perfect holiday home providing comfort and ideal location for all that Honfleur offers."

A very comfortable home close to all the amenities of Honfleur. A short walk to the beautiful Harbour to discover a wide choice of restaurants , plenty of places to eat or simply sit with a coffee and take in the atmosphere of this lovely ancient Port. A thriving market means you can pick up lovely fresh produce and pop back to the apartment to create your own tasty meal. Perfect location and home for a very relaxing short or long break. Will return.
