The Mill is a spectacular stone built former water mill (although the water that powered the wheel was diverted many years ago).

The ground floor has been converted to create a large and stylish living space with two en suite bedrooms (with either king size doubles or twin beds) and a spacious sitting room. Enjoy the enormous sofa - ideal for cuddling up in or choose a book to read from the small library. Watch the tv or a dvd or just r e l a x!

The kitchen is well equipped with electric hob and oven, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer and there is an iron, hairdryer, microwave and all the equipment required to make for easy holiday catering.

The perfect location for exploring Cornwall - midway between the Devon/Cornwall border and Lands End -The Mill is in a country setting less than 2 miles from the mainline railway station at St. Austell.

It is also close to the world renowned Eden Project - you can walk or cycle straight from The Mill along the miles of adjacent trails or take your car if you don't feel so energetic. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are only a short drive away and there are many beautiful Cornish gardens to visit, particularly in the spring time when the warm Cornish climate encourages the early growth of shrubs and trees.

Swim or try some sailing in the sea on the south coast or experience the exhilaration of surfing on the north coast - beautiful beaches, spectacular coastline - all this and much more that Cornwall has to offer.

The Mill has two en suite bedrooms sleeping four people. An extra two people can be accommodated on a convertible sofa in the sitting room. A cot is available and a high chair if required.

The Cornwall region

Cornwall is the most south-westerly region of the UK, about 4 hours from London by train but also with regular flights into Newquay Airport from the main cities.

Cornwall enjoys a warm climate and the great gardens of the County are at their best in early spring.

The region is famous for its beaches and coastline - the south coast is perfect for swimming and sailing, the north coast for surfing.

Although some of the more popular beaches and resorts can get very crowded in the summer there are still lesser known places to visit and, of course, during the autumn and winter months you can enjoy the beaches without the crowds.

St Austell

St. Austell - the nearest town to The Mill - is about midway in the County so offers an excellent centre for exploring Cornwall, being just over an hour's drive to Lands End and half an hour to the rugged north coastal area with its beautiful sandy beaches.

The area has become famous for the world renowned Eden Project (just 4 miles from The Mill) and the Lost Gardens of Heligan plus the dozens of other gardens and great houses of the County. The Minack Open Air Theatre at Porthcurno, the Maritime Museum at Falmouth, plus the Shipwreck Heritage Centre at Charlestown are all worthy of a visit.
