There are many good, cheap airlines that travel to our part of the Dordogne.
Bergerac : daily, twice on Saturdays during the summer months. With Flybee and Ryan Air..to many other parts of the uk. We are just 40 min from Bergerac and it is very straightforward getting to us, we provide a local map with easy directions, on booking.
Bordeaux: Just one hour flight from Gatwick and 1.00 hour to us, again I provide a map. Angouleme is now a good alternative airport and has just started operating to the uk, and is about 1.5 hours drive away.
We recommend that you hire a car from Hertz if you are flying Ryanair as its much cheaper. Both the airports are excellent and have many car hire companies. We recommend in the summer you book your car with your flight company just in case you are disappointed.
It is a very stress free place to get to and some people even commute!!!

Second year of bliss! House just as we remembered. Pool amazing. Rooms huge and comfortable. Our older children loved having the wifi and our younger ones satelite TV! We all loved the pool though. Even cooking was easy - a proper cooks kitchen with all that you would want and more, excellent gas barbeque and a terrace to die for to eat from. Pattie and Graham are perfect hosts - there if needed but not overpowering. We have booked for next year and have started to count down the days. |
