The Midi-Pyrenees / Tarn-et-Garonne region
Nearby are Medieval villages, Bastide towns, Chateaux, Abbeys, Churches and magnificent natural sites of outstanding beauty; whether it be wooded valleys or the meandering River Aveyron with its dramatic gorges.
Within easy driving distance there are a large number of restaurants to cater for all budgets. Supermarkeets are nearby to meet all you in-house catering needs.
St Antonin Noble Val area
Ideally situated 1km from the spectacular St Antonin Noble Val, there is easy access to restaurants, shops and the renowned traditional markets . The vineyards of Gaillac are 25 minutes and Cahor is 30 minutes , both have numerous caves for buying and sampling the local wines.
ACTIVITIES Horse riding, canoeing, fishing ( rods provided and the river is at the foot of the garden), rail trips, rock climbing, wine tasting, museums, pot-holing, tennis and of course walking. Two Cycles are provided free of charge. Golf is available at Albi (18-hole delightful course; approximately 50 minutes by car), where there is also a water-park for children. An afternoon excursion by canoe through the Aveyron Gorge is considered a *must* by nearly all guests.
A number of local villages and towns have interesting and colourful markets. (NB: Be sure not to miss the local market in St Antonin held on SUNDAY mornings), and Villefrance on thursdays.
EXCURSIONS BY CAR Within short driving distances, excursions can also be made to a number of fascinating towns and villages including Cordes, Albi, Najac, Cahors, Penne and Bruniquel, all of which are well worth a visit. For longer trips you have Carcassone, 2 hrs and the coast is 2 1/2 hrs drive away - good for a day trip.
How to get there
The property is approximately a day's drive from the Channel Ports and only just over 1hr from Toulouse Airport, which has daily flights from Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham, Southampton, Manchester, Dublin, Bristol, Stansted and numerous flights from regional airports connecting with Amsterdam or Brussels and then onwards to Toulouse.
Carcasonne, just an hour south of Toulouse, is another alternative with often very much cheaper fares.
Rodez is about 1 1/2 hrs.

Further details indoors: There are 3 comfortable bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with toilets. The French windows in the lounge lead onto the south facing patio which is equipped with a retractable awning, providing essential shade from the sun.
The brand new kitchen, fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven and fridge/freezer adjoins the main living area which has ample chairs and sofas (one of which can be used as a sofa bed). This leads through to the patio with its wonderful views.
A selection of CDs, tape player, books and family games are available in the large comfortable living room. There is a TV with French broadcasts, CNN, Eurosport and some children's channels.
Further details outdoors: The 2 acre garden is carefully maintained but predominantly meadowland with mature trees, meandering down to private river frontage where you can make use of the fishing rods supplied. There are plenty of places to seek a little privacy from the rest of your party if you so desire.
The pool is rounded at each end and measures approximately 40ft by 20ft with a depth ranging from 3ft to 5ft. There are relaxers, sun beds and parasols around the pool area - a great place to read, eat, listen to the bird songs, snooze and of course have the occasional swim!
On one side of the property is a lawned area with a BBQ, where games such a boules and swingball can be played. There are two mountain bikes for guests and close by there are some designated cross country cycle tracks and many delightful walks. Pool toys, high chair, cot etc are available.
