Flanked by medieval villages and spoiled with lively markets in almost every direction, L'ecole Ancienne is an ideal opportunity to soak up the splendour of French culture and countryside. There is a large and secluded private pool that traps the summer sun all day. Two balconies to view the countryside from high up and an outdoor dining area with a bbq. Inside, a large country kitchen with exposed stone and large timber beams provides a lovely setting to cook and entertain. Horse riding, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and hiking are all nearby.

Five mins away is Caylus where you will find your local your boulangerie, boucherie, patisserie, cafes, bars and restaurants. St. Antonin Noble Val is 15mins away with its lovely Sunday market -- a must for every visitor. There are 3 bedrooms, two doubles and one with two single beds -- each bedroom has its own washroom. The kitchen and dining area are large and well equipped for those who love to cook and entertain. The lounge is cosy with a flat screen TV and DVD player along with Bose iPod docking station.

There is a six-seat outdoor dining area, a frog pond and secluded areas dotted around the property to escape the sun and enjoy quiet moments. The Midi-Pyrenees / Tarn-et-Garonne region

A very ancient and medieval part of France, the Tarn et Garonne is marked by hilltop Bastide towns bisected with gorges and rivers that provide a dramatic backdrop to your holiday. This is farm country with Spring, Summer and Autumn providing fresh fruit and vegetables. Local markets will give you the chance to taste the region's delicacies - foie gras, saucisson, local produce, meats and cheeses. Jamie Oliver recently featured the nearby market town of Limogne en Quercy as part of his Channel 4 series in the summer of 2010. Finally, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the appeal of Gaillac wine, another local treasure.

The St Antonin Noble Val / Caylus area

Nearby activities include canoeing and kayaking down the Aveyron -- there is an abundance of companies to hire canoes from, even ones that will arrange a picnic for you on the banks of the river. There is fishing at a nearby leisure lake. St. Antonin Noble Val boasts one of the region's best market on Sundays and the Limogne market occurs on the same day and is famous for its Black Truffles. There are many good cafes and restaurants in every town along with an Art Deco cinema in St Antonin showing current English films.
