The North Jamaica Coast region

The region of Jamaica is a paradise, a mix of vibrant green hills, white sandy beaches, crystal blue waters, and amazing towns full of shops, restaurants and entertainment, and the people are all wonderfully friendly and welcoming.

St Ann's is one of the major tourist destinations of Jamaica, home to some of the most popular beaches on the island, such as Puerto Seco Beach. On the west cost shore is Ocho Rios (just a 30 minute drive from the house) it has a variety of amazing restaurants and both local and duty-free shops.

At the other end of the island is Negril, home to the famous "7 mile beach". The strip is actually closer 4 miles and is home to many all inclusive resorts and also family run hotels, there are many amazing shops and restaurants found all along the beach front that you can easily spend all day exploring.

The climate of Jamaica is hot, with the average temperature of 82 degrees, but expect this to be hotter in the afternoons particularly when the humidity levels are high. Fortunately we are nestled in the hills and have cool evenings and the island itself is blessed with north-easterly trade winds that offer an amazing breeze and cool relief from the high temperatures. There can be a lot of rainfall, particularly in the months of May and October, the rainstorms are normally heavy but brief, starting in the afternoon and finishing before you've even realised it's raining.

St Ann

The area closer to the house is much more peaceful, surrounded by tropical plants and flowers and various exotic birds. The air is full of the aromas of the flowers and fruit all growing in the area.

The drive to and from the house offers spectacular views of the mountains and ocean that are all breath-taking.

The local town of Claremont is a 15 minute drive from the house, for those who grow tired of the tourist towns, Claremont is a great day out and a great way to experience true Jamaican culture.

A little further from the house is Runaway Bay and Ocho Rios where you will find the local beaches, rivers, nightlife and a variety of great restaurants.

For families with children or adults looking for active entertainment Dunn's River Falls, and Dolphin Cove two of the best attractions Jamaica has to offer.

"What a fabulous place"

Set up in the forested hills above St Anne's the location is both beautiful and relaxing. The main house is in colonial style and the cottage has been built to fit in with its surroundings. Fac… More
