About this location
The Fife region
There is no where more unique than St Andrews. It has world reknowned golf courses, miles and miles of sandy beaches, fabulous coastal walks, world class restaurants and the history of being an esteemed University town. There is something for everybody here.
For golfers there are more than 20 courses within a 20mile radius of the house and many of these courses apart from the St Andrews Links Trust courses are championship courses in their own right the Dukes, Kingsbarns, Lundin Links and Ladybank to mention but a few.
St Andrews is a very special place:
The history of the Town is remarkable dating as far back as Queen Margaret escaping across the River Forth from the forces of William the Conqueror in 1071. The Consecration of the Cathedral in 1318 in the presence of King Robert the Bruce who rode his horse up the central isle was indeed remarkable! This University town is steeped in history and is a place of pilgrimmage for many. There is a diverse array of festivals, cultural activities, with fine museums to be visited.
There are also many things to do in the Town. The Byre Theatre, established in 1933 promotes excellent shows throughout the year and the variety and range of restaurants are exceptional with the array of boutique shopping quite fabulous.

"Lovely, quiet contemporary house close to town with good views."
We loved our stay here. The sun shone and filled the house with light. The place has a stylish, contemporary decor which suited us. The problems from the previous review seemed to have been sorted … More

"Nice house, great spot , shame about lack of comfort!"
Lovely spacious house but obviously geared up for students. Needs some better seating in lounge, two wicker chairs and a very low bed settee not at all comfy. Bathrooms ok could do with a good scrub,… More
We're really glad you thought the house was lovely and spacious but disappointed to hear of your problems. We have now moved the main rubbish bin to a new position outside the house and we have mended the bathroom lock. We do pride ourselves on cleaning bathrooms very thoroughly and leave them sparkling, just as they are in the photos, so we are puzzled by your comment. We really wish you had let us know the issues when you were staying because we would have responded immediately. With regard to seating - the house is decorated in a minimalist retro style which may not be to everyone's taste, but since your review we have now added a further comfy chair."
