Championship links, challenging parkland layouts, fun nine-holers and great value courses - no fewer than 45 different golfing venues await you in Fife, quite simply the spiritual and cultural Home of Golf.

East & West Sands St Andrews

St Andrews is the only town or city in Scotland with two Blue Flag beaches, the East and West Sands. The latter is famous for the opening scenes of the film 'Chariots of Fire' West Sands extends for almost two miles and is popular with big kites and sand buggies.

St Andrews Castle

On a headland to the north of St Andrews stand the ruins of the city's castle, the main residence of the bishops and archbishops of St Andrews - the focal point of the Church in Medieval Scotland. Today, a siege mine and counter-mine can be explored, and the 'bottle dungeon' viewed.

St Andrews Cathedral

The remains of what was Scotland's largest and most magnificent church still show how impressive St Andrews Cathedral must have been in its prime. Its museum houses a collection of early and later medieval sculpture and other relics found on the site. St Rule's tower provides access to spectacular views.

"Beautiful Location"

Beautiful location and lovely flat that's very handy for all St Andrews has to offer. If we were to have one complaint it would be that the WiFi was not available in the flat during our stay, but overall a great stay. It's worth noting that the flat is on the top floor so you have to climb two flights of stairs so it might not be suitable for everyone.

Im glad you enjoyed your stay unfortunately we only became aware of a problem with Wifi after you left flat during cleaning and maintenance. It turned out that there was a fault with the telephone broadband filter which was immediately replaced by the spare one. I am sorry if this caused you any inconvenience

"Excellent Easter Weekend in St. Andrews"

Me, my wife and our 2 year old son spent Easter Weekend in the Snug, everything was perfect, including the unreliable Scottish weather. We arrived to a welcome bottle of wine, as well as a loaf, butter and milk, I know these are only small gestures, but they make a huge difference in starting your stay off in the correct manner. The accommodation is ideal for a couple with 1 young kid, they sleep at the foot of the bed in a sofa bed. The location is also perfect, 2 min walk to beach (West Sands) and Old Course and also 2 min to the town centre. I would definitely tell family and friends to stay here, more space than the hotels and a extremely relaxing environment to enjoy all the delights that St. Andrews has to offer.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review for The Snug. We are pleased to hear everything was to your liking in the flat and that you enjoyed your visit to St Andrews.
