St Clair is a lovely spacious home, well equipped ideally situated to enjoy the delights of Elie & the East Neuk.
The house is ideal for families and couples alike with 2 separate living areas. The house has 4 bedrooms and is spread over 3 floors with views to the sea and golf course. The house has ample storage space and enjoys an enclosed decked patio/BBQ area.
St Clair is within walking distance to the beach, golf, tennis, bowling, horse riding & watersports and an ideal base for those discovering the area. The East Neuk of Fife is reknowned for Art galleries as well as its micro climate.
St Clair is next door to Linmara (property no. 103793) so can be rented for 2 families who want a holiday together but need their own space. We are great friends with the owners and will try to accommodate joint bookings.

Set off the road St Clair enjoys both a front & back garden with a private hedge and a useful storage area.
- Front Garden - small grass area with enough room to store bikes and beach toys. Enclosed with private hedge and metal gate.
- Back Garden - Sun trap, fully enclosed with lockable gate, bordered by flowering shrubs. Decked area and small grass area. Washing line. Shed with beach toys, garden furniture, gas bbq. Outdoor hose and tap. The back garden is accessible via a passage at the side of the house. This enables bikes and other items to be safely stored.

The house is rented with bed linen, towels and use of all board games, beach equipment, gas bbq and CDs. All heating and electrical usage is included. Wifi is avilable and free local phone calls.
However, a deduction may be available off the price if you bring your own bed linen and towels. With this discount we would ask that you also tidy the house, leaving areas hoovered, and the bathroom and kitchen clean.
Pets are allowed for an additional charge of £20per dog/cat to cover cleaning but not during School Easter or Summer holidays. Please ask.

A £150 good house keeping deposit is required on booking the property and will be returned following your stay. Please pay for all damages.
Local calls are free. All mobile phone calls need to be paid for.
Please leave the property tidy and clean on departure. Excessive cleaning will be charged for.
Payments should be made by cheque 8 weeks prior to your holiday.

Elie/Earlsferry is located on the coast known as the East Neuk of Fife, about an hours drive from Edinburgh and only 15 minutes from St Andrews. The quaint fishing villages and towns of Anstruther, Crail, Pitenween and St Monans offer a glimpse of the fishing way of life, fantastic scenery, art galleries and mouth watering restaurants and cafes.
The area is reknowned for superb wildlife, coastal walks and cycle paths.
The East Neuk of Fife is often talked of having a micro climate with drier summers and milder winters.
The St Andrews / Elie and Earlsferry area
Once you arrive in Elie their are plenty of activities on offer, or it is very easy to relax and enjoy the scenery!
Beach - Elie offers a choice of 3 beautiful sandy beaches, lighthouse and a great coastal path.
Watersports - Pedaloes, sailing boats and windsurfing are available to hire. The kids will enjoy the inflatable rides! Mountain bikes and wet suits are available to hire. Within a shallow sheltered bay courses are run for sailing and windsurfing. Swimming pools are at St Andrews and Leven, both about 15 minutes away by car.
Golf - The Elie golf course is walkable from the house, indeed the 17th and 13th holes can be seen from the top floor bedroom. In addition, there is a fantastic 9 hole course, a driving range and a Golf shop. Tuition is available with group lessons for all ages during the school holidays. Weekly and daily tickets can be purchased for unlimited use. Golf courses within a short driving distance are Lundin Links, Crail, Kingsbarns and of course the the most famous of them all the Old Course at St Andrews.
Tennis - The sports pavillon is a 5 minute walk from the house and offers 5 all weather full size courts and 4 junior courts. Tennis tuition is available for all ages.
Horse Riding is available at Kilconquhar Castle, a 5 minute drive away.
Refreshments - From award wining restaurants such as Sangsters in Elie to the popular Elie Coffee house, Elie has a fantastic choice of restaurants and pubs. The family friendly Ship Inn hosts cricket matches on the beach in the summer, and the 19th hole is just 2 minutes away from St Clair offering great food for all the family.

St Clair is positioned in an enviable position halfway along Earlsferry High street in the beautiful village of Elie,on the east coast of Scotland. This area is known as the The East of Neuk of Fife.
Getting to St Clair from
1. The North
From Perth (1 hour). Follow the A913 to Cupar, then the B940 and B941 going directly through Peat Inn, Largoward and Kilconquhar to Elie and Earlsferry.
From Dundee over the Tay bridge (30 mins). Follow the signs for St Andrews. Turn left at roundabout at Guardbridge then next right signposted Strathkinness/Craigtoun. Go through Peat Inn, Largoward and Kilconquhar.
St Andrews is only 20 mins away with a regular bus service.
2. The South
Edinburgh is only 45 mins away. Markinch and Leuchars train stations are 15 miles away.
From the South and West - Cross the Forth Road Bridge, leaving the M90 at junction 2A, following the A92, A911, A915 and the A917 to Elie/Earlsferry.
When arrive in Elie:
Drive into Elie and turn right into Bank Street (Harbour House and the Baker on the corners). Keep going straight until you arrive at Earlsferry High Street. This is now one way.
St Clair is on the right opposite the angled parking before the pink house which covers the pavement slightly. It has a hedge outside and small front garden. There are plenty of free parking spaces nearby.

A discount may be considered off the price if you bring your own bed linen and towels. With this discount we would ask that you also tidy the house, leaving areas hoovered, and the bathroom and kitchen clean.
Booking Deposit:
A deposit of £150 is required on confirming a booking. The balance is due no later than 8 weeks before the let begins. If the deposit is not paid within three days of making the booking, then we reserve the right to cancel the let.
Damage Deposit:
A refundable, damage deposit of £150 iis also required in addition to the booking deposit and this must be paid when the balance is due, i.e. no later than one month before the let begins. This will be refunded after the property has been cleaned and if any damage/unpaid bills/extra cleaning is required this will be deducted from the damage deposit prior to refund.
Cancellation Policy:
Any cancellations must be confirmed by sending an EMail to lizzy.earnoch@btinternet.com. Please advise at the earliest opportunity.
We will then try to re-let the property and if only a deposit has been paid (i.e. cancellation was more than 4-weeks prior to entry) and we are successful and re-let the full period at the same rental, we will refund the deposit minus an Admin fee of £50.00. If we have to reduce the rent in order to re-let, then we will refund the deposit minus the admin fee and also minus the amount needed to make up the rent. If we fail to re-let the property then the tenant will lose the full deposit.
If the cancellation is within the last month prior to occupancy (i.e. when the full balance should have been paid) and if we re-let for the full amount, a refund of the full amount minus £50.00 Admin fee will be given. If we have to reduce the rental, a refund will be granted minus admin fees as above and minus any difference in rental. If we do not manage to re-let, then the full rental amount is retained by the owner.
Entry Time:
Entry time is after 4.00pm and you must vacate by 10.00am on the departure day. For short breaks we try to be as flexible a possible allowing more time either side especially if the property is not occupied on surrounding dates. Please make sure you make contact within a couple of days of your let start date to arrange key collection.
Occupancy Numbers:
The number of people occupying the property must not exceed eight. We reserve the right to refuse entry to the property and end the tenancy if this number is exceeded.
Care of Property:
The hirers of the property must ensure that the property is left in a clean and tidy condition, with any re-cyclable items that are not uplifted by the bin men being taken to the recycling points within the village (as on instruction sheet handed out on arrival). Failure to comply with these conditions may result in an additional charge.
The hirers of the property are responsible for the replacement of (or payment for) any article broken or damaged during their occupation of the property. The hirers are also responsible for the repair of any damage done to the property itself during the rental period (excluding reasonable wear and tear). In the event of a breakdown of equipment please make contact as soon as possible and we will do our best to remedy the situation as quickly as possible. We cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control such as delays in fixing central heating breakdowns due to having to order parts, power cuts, burst water mains, etc...
Smoking:
Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the property. If anyone chooses to smoke outside, please dispose of the used cigarette ends by placing them in the refuse bin.
Pets:
Pets are allowed, by prior arrangement with the owner.
Liability:
We do not accept liability for any neglect, default or act, nor for any inconvenience, injury, accident or loss suffered by any person, or to any vehicle or possessions, in or around the property, or in any way arising out of the property from any cause whatsoever.
Complaints:
If you have a complaint, please inform us immediately (do not wait till the end of your stay) and we will do our best to resolve it. We cannot guarantee to resolve any complaints received after the property is vacated.
Disclaimers:
The owner can accept responsibility for work taking place outside the boundary of the property, nor for any noise or nuisance, arising from works over which we have no control.
We reserve the right to amend prices/descriptions quoted on the website due to errors and/or omissions.
