Home description

This cottage is ideal for a bucket and spade holiday and is within minutes of the surfing beaches of Perranporth and Porthtowan as well as sightseeing the beautiful Atlantic coast both to the north and south. It also provides a perfect haven for that quiet get away to curl up with a book in the sun room or relax on the secluded patio.

The cottage has lots of space inside and has a real personal touch with many items either painted by the owner’s very artistic family or collected on their travels – giving it a really warm and homely feel. A particular feature of the cottage is the spacious kitchen/dining area with a Rayburn at one end a farmhouse pine table and a really pretty painted dresser with pretty china. The attractive sitting room has big comfy sofas, a large beamed fire place and oil-fired wood burning effect stove leading to a delightful sun room and secure garden ideal for children and dogs. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and furnished, one having an iron bedstead.

Throughout the cottage paintings by various very talented members of the family adorn the walls and there is a good library of books and board games available.

For the non-beach holiday maker the cottage is well situated for access to Cornwall’s spectacular gardens and renowned eateries such as Fifteen Restaurant at Watergate Bay, plus many other attractions.
