Tinners Cottage, in a quiet rural setting, is a high standard roomy semi-detached cottage situated 4 miles from St Agnes, West Cornwall. Three superb classic sandy beaches nearby; Chapel Porth and Porthtowan beaches under 3 miles and Portreath beach 4 miles. Redruth is 2 miles. Tinners Cottage is set amidst beautiful countryside in the village of Wheal Rose. The cottage (on the right of the photos) is one of 2 properties sharing the large 1 acre adjacent lawns, the lawns having a surrounding Cornish stone hedge(great for children to play in). Opposite the cottages is Engine House Cottage, converted from an old tin mine engine house(Wheal Rose Engine House)and still retaining the high chimney which is also part of the building. Lovely valley views from the gardens and just a 5 minutes walk from a cycle path and footpath (the old Mineral Tramway Line) with other footpaths and walks leading off. The cottage has a patio area with table,chairs and a BBQ. Linen, electric, central heating and Internet access (bring own laptop and ethernet RJ45 cable)are inclusive. Travel Cot & High Chair. 1 dog welcome. Parking for 3 cars in driveway.

Visit the fantastic sandy beach at Portreath with its small harbour, one of Cornwall's most impressive and popular beaches. Great for surfing and has a large classic sandy beach. Take the cycle path from Portreath which runs all the way to the south coast.
St Agnes is a popular old coastal village and tourist destination. The coastal area is maintained by the National Trust and is designated part of the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beaches near St Agnes include Trevaunance Cove, a small sandy beach with lifeguards and adequate parking. Porthtowan village also has a good sandy beach. Chapel Porth is another popular beach.
