The West Country region

Why go abroad when you can come to Cornwall?!

Dramatic coastline, miles of sandy beaches, picturesque harbours and villages, rugged countryside and a fascinating heritage – Cornwall has something to offer in every season.

A mecca for surfers, Cornwall has dozens of surfing beaches each with their own unique character. Why not try a lesson from one of our surf schools? Cornwall's most popular beaches are lifeguarded throughout the summer, and with many beaches stretching for miles with soft golden sands it's a great place for families to play and relax.

Cornwall is also a walkers' paradise, with over 2,000 miles of public footpaths, including the famous South West Coast Path, amongst other routes and trails. With nearly 1/3 of the county designated as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty you will never be short of incredible sights in Cornwall, from natural phenomenon such as the bizarre Cheesewring on the wilds of Bodmin Moor, to the causeway at St Michael's Mount or even catching a glimpse of seals lazing on the beach at Mutton Cove!

St Agnes

A little hamlet close to the village of St Agnes, Goonown is a great location to experience the peace and tranquillity of a country lifestyle. The shops, cafes and pubs of St Agnes are within easy reach, as well as several beaches, and the larger seaside town of Perranporth with its 3 miles of golden sands is only a few minutes' drive away.

5/5

"Private, peaceful located cottage in a wonderful setting."

The cottage is situated about 5 minutes from Chiverton Cross roundabout which gives you access to all the main routes through Cornwall. A few miles from Truro. The cottgae is very large and is surrounded by a very large secluded garden. Ideal for dogs and children. I cannot underestimate how peaceful and tranquil the cottage location is. Shops, pubs, restuarants and petrol garage are all near the cottage. The wonderful Trevaunce Cove is a short walk or 5 minute drive away. A tennis club is next to the cottage that allows pay and play. This is our fifth time staying in the cottage. It has ample sized rooms inside with all amenities included in the hire charge. A log burner in the kitchen and coal fire in the lounge make the cottage lovely and warm in the colder months. There is ample parking for more than one car. We have a large people carrier. The cottage is suitable loacted for some lovely walks. The people of St Agnes are so friendly. The local pubs are very friendly and allow your dogs. The cottage could do with wi-fi and a BT landline accepting calls as mobile phone communications generally in Cornwall are very poor.

Many thanks for taking the time to share such positive feedback!
