Springhill / Weeki Wachee area
Spring Hill is situated on the Nature coast. It's main attraction being Weeki Wachee Springs, famous for it's "mermaids". Hire a canoe or kayak and paddle down the beautiful Weeki Wachee River.Watch the manatees and turtles,fish,swim or just float along on the current. Homosassa Wildlife Park is definitely worth a visit. The small but attractive beach of Pine Island is fust 10 minutes away. Golden sands, warm seas and magnificent sunsets will appeal to all members of the family. Not forgetting the golfers, Spring Hill has many coursesto suit the beginner and the more experienced player. The two main local shopping "Malls" are Gulf View and Crystal River. Clearwater beach is 1 hour to the south. If it's the magic of Disney that has lured you to Florida, then the attractions are 75 minutes away.
