Home description

The house is situated in the maritime mountains in the woods, but from the large terrace and garden - which are an open space in front of the house- you have a free view on hills and mountains and in the distance the Mediterranean sea. the side wing is used by the owners.

The furniture is perfect, partly modern, partly antique, and the house was recently completely renovated with new bathrooms etc. The facade was kept in the old style however. Central heating.

Liguria is famous for its temperate climate, beautiful sandy beaches, typical italian day and night life, perfect panoramic highways taking you in no time to places like Genua, Portofino, Cinque Terre to the east and Finale Ligure, San Remo, Ventimiglia ( Hanbury's gardens),towards France ( Nice, San Tropez, Monaco ) .

Finale Ligure at 3 km is famous for unusual rocky mountains, a playground for free climbers and paragliding, coming from all over the world. The hills all around are covered with woods, vinyards and olivegroves. Small hamlets, nearly discovered, have a pastel coloured church and cosy piazza, for your sip of wine or cappuccino.

Discover the higher mountains at the back of your house for walks, biking and hiking. ( the owner may take you to places you would never discover on your own), in winter Liguria is very pleasant , no flocks of tourists, a very temperate climate and that ever lasting " spring feeling" even on Christmas day you go for a stroll along the boulevard and have your coffee outside on a terrace!

Spotorno area

Spotorno is a small sea-side resort and a lot of small villages in the hills and mountains behind. This is the charma of this area, a swim in the Mediterranean sea and a your walk in shady woods.

You will be only at 3km from the nearest village and 8 km from the sea side , with restaurants, shops, beach-life and night life but you will be glad to return" home" for a peaceful evening, have your outside dining with inviting smells from the large barbecue. The surrounding woods are inhabited by lots of birds and you may hear the cry of an owl.

How to get there

By car on the autostrada from Genua or France, exit Spotorno, 3 km inland. Or fly to Genua ( low budget) Nice ( good connection with New York) Milan, hire a car , full routing will be supplied.
