“Torre del falco”, “The hawk's tower”, is a beautiful, ancient stone tower located on the outskirts of the medieval town of Spoleto, a place full of history well known all over the world for its charm and beauty as well as for the many cultural events, first among all the “Festival of Two Worlds”.
This ancient stone tower has been fully restored in the past years, with a careful eye to maintaining the original looks. The interiors have been totally redecorated in the winter 2008, and a new swimming pool 56 x 16.5 ft has been added to the property.

The Tower can accommodate twelve guests in its beautiful spaces. A large, fully furnished kitchen is located on the first floor; you can decide to take your meals inside or to choice the gazebo on the side of the pool, shadowing a large stone table. The beautiful, bright living room takes the whole second floor, with its comfortable sofas, gorgeous fireplace and panoramic windows overlooking the pool and the surrounding woods. Each of the 3 upper floors is composed by two double or twin bedrooms and a bathroom, all offering relaxing views of the surrounding country, for a total of six bedrooms and three bathrooms. On the top floor you will find the finest place of all: a cozy kitchen opening on a gorgeous terrace commanding a 360 degrees view of the surroundings.
Among plenty of colorful flowers, shaded by the gazebo, you can have your breakfast, lunch or afternoon drinks while admiring the amazing views, or dine in the candlelight enjoying the smooth breeze of the night.
The property also includes two other beautiful, independent accommodations: The Nest and The Falconer, for two and four guests, giving the chance to accommodate parties of 18 guests on its grounds.
Chaise-longues, garden chairs and large sun umbrellas are available around the pool for your hours of relax and suntanning.
Bikes are available if you wish to try yourself for a spin on the hills or into town.
A 30 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive away there is Spoleto, a beautiful, charming medieval town internationally known for the Two Worlds Festival. Spoleto has a tradition in History and art which goes back to the ancient Roman civilization. You can spend time visiting the castle and the many churches and exhibitions, getting lost in the narrow streets punctuated by artisan shops, discover the Umbrian tastes and flavours in the typical, cosy restaurants, and end the day attending one of the many cultural happenings typical of this town. And when you get tired of human artefacts, you can just walk for hours on end in the surrounding woods and mountains, immersing yourself into the beautiful nature; go for river rafting along the Nera river in beautiful Val Nerina, or for horseback riding along the mountain paths.
You can also explore the many breathtaking towns within less than 30 minutes by car: Bevagna, Trevi, Spello, Montefalco and Foligno; or in one hour you can reach Assisi, Orvieto, Deruta, Perugia, Todi, Cascia and Norcia. Rome is 1h 20' away by train, and Florence is just two hours by car.
Last but not least, explore the Umbrian gastronomic tradition and its delicious, genuine foods, including locally grown truffles; not to forget that this is the area of famous Sagrantino di Montefalco and other superb worldly renowned wines. Wine tasting is available in the best vineyards of the area for you to discover this Italian treasure.
