The Heart of England/Peak District
Spilsby is a vibrant market town on the southern edge of the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds. Traffic on the roads is light and it is easy to explore the towns and villages of this unspoilt part of 'Lincolnshire by car or motorcycle. Spilsby is also well served by public transport so it is wonderful to explore the byways on foot from the bus route. The Viking way passes close to the town and the new circular Lindsey carriage trail extends through the Wolds from Willingham Woods in the north to Horncastle in the south. The coast is only 10 miles away and can be reached by car or bus. There you will find the resort of Skegness, Butlins holiday centre and the nature reserves of Theddlethorpe and Gibraltar Point.
In Spilsby there are a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and take-aways to cater for all tastes and dietary needs. There is a theatre and library plus a network of craft and leisure interest providers and there are several National Trust and Historic sites nearby. There are several equestrian centres nearby. Cadwell Park raceway hosts car and motorcycling events throughout the year.
