The house is spacious so visitors can choose to be in the different areas of the house. Great for families.

The area is popular with hikers & nature lovers of all ages. Galway Bay with Connemara on one side, County Clare and the famous Burren on the other, with the Aran Islands just a 30 minute ferry ride away.There are many golf courses, riding schools, surf beaches, kayaking and sailing courses.

Galway is a short drive away and offers a medieval city full of culture, art and every type of live music,

especially Traditional Irish Music. Spiddal is situated in the Connemara Gaeltacht, an area where Irish/Gaelic is still the first language although everyone is bi-lingual.

The kitchen/dining area is large with separate TV/DVD room, conservatory and sitting room. There is one double bedroom and one toilet/shower room downstairs. Upstairs there is a bathroom one large double bedroom one smaller room with double bed and 2 single bedrooms. There is floor space for blow-up beds or sleeping bags.

There are wonderful views over Galway Bay where you can see the Aran Islands, The Hills of County Clare and the Connemara landscape. The beach is at the bottom of the road, a 10 minute walk and 20 minute walk to Spiddal village.

The house is on one acre of wild garden.

There are donkeys, cows. horses, pheasants and the occasional fox in the fields around the house.

The whole of Galway Bay area is famous for its natural beauty.

Spiddal is a popular destination with Irish people and many families rent houses here in Summer. It's small & pretty but lively too with plenty of music in the pubs in the evenings. It is on the seashore.
