The County Galway/County Clare region
Coastal walks 1.6 miles. Traditional Music, Fishing 3½ miles. Golf 11 miles.
This beautiful comfortable cottage is located 1.2 miles from the small seaside village of Inveran, half an hour's drive from Galway and only 3.5 miles from Spiddal. Galway has a cosmopolitan atmosphere: its pedestrian shopping streets, open air cafes and host of summer festivals make it a favourite destination. This is the ideal base, a very spacious property with quality furnishings and a welcoming open fire. It enjoys views of the countryside. Nearby is a small sandy beach, with the larger seaside resort in Salthill 20 minutes drive. A beautiful home in a lovely location.
There is many beautiful Bog Walks only half a mile from the property with distant views of the Cliff's of Moher, Galway Bay and the Aran Islands. The cottage was built by a local poet and this is a great place form which you can hear the birds singing in the mornings. You can also get to know "Neddy" the donkey who is bound to be grazing in one of the nearby fields during your stay. This is an ideal base from which to tour Connemara, Aran Islands, Clare, Galway and even Mayo. After a days touring you can come back to this homely property and relax in front of the welcoming open turf fire.
