The large property - 18 hectare with wood, olive groves and a large park - Tennuta Pennacchio is located in the county near Itri. In the park is a main house from the 18th century with one large apartment, three little houses, a very large villa and a second house with three apartments, scattered throughout the property. Every house has their own outside space and privacy. The guest’s can move in the park with Mediterranean plants and flowers or make a walk in the wood or the olive grows.
The property is located 2 km from the centre of Itri and 12 km from the beaches of Sperlonga on the street going to Campodimele – known for the longevity of its residents, with the town's population now expected to live to an average age of 95.
During the whole year, even in summer, the streets going to Itri and the sea in Sperlonga hasn’t much traffic volume.
The little house Casa Pioppo is furnished with stile. It has a bedroom with double bed, a second room with a double sofa bed and dining table. The well furnished full-sized kitchen invites for cooking. The bathroom is with shower.
Outside there is a table with chairs at the guest’s disposal.
A room with table tennis and table foot ball is at the guest’s disposal.
Further there is a large arbour in the park where marriages can be organized and a kitchen for catering.

The Lazio region
The region of Lazio, rich of culture and nature, is situated in the centre of Italy.
Hill landscapes with olive- and vine cultivation and the seas Bracciano and Bolzena characterizes the north of Lazio. The culturally heydays are the famous Etruscan excavation and the sulphur-wells, where you can spoil your skin under the open sky.
Rome is the culturally and economically centre directly in the heartland of Lazio and the capital city of Italy.
Mountains are in the south of Latium, rising above 2000 meters; at the lower sites are green hill landscapes, overgrown with orange-and lemon trees and olive-and vine cultivation. The coast is very varied: you can find little bays, steep coast, long sandy beaches and hills covered with Mediterranean plants (macchia mediterranea).
Excavations from the Roman time and the pre-Roman time (Etruscan, Ausoner, and Aurunci), medieval towns, monasteries and convents, small fishing villages and characteristically villages in the mountains have formative influences to this region.
Lazio has many nature reserves and little protected oasis; very beautiful for walks, longer walking tours or trekking.
Thermal springs are to find in the region of Viterbo, Tivoli, and Fiuggi and in the south in Suio.
Fish and seafood you can get in all varieties as a specialty at the coast; a rustically cuisine interior (meat and sausage, cheese and a lot of different vegetables).
The buffalo mozzarella and the olives of Gaeta are an exceptionally culinary specialty.
The Sperlonga / Itri area
Sperlonga is a romantic and old fishing village in the south of Rome (120 km): little and narrow alleys, clothes lines everywhere, many shy cats and curious dogs, cute restaurants…
Because of the steps and alleys, the medieval fortress you can visit only by feet. the summer month Sperlonga is populated by many tourists fond of the sea.
During the winter month the rocks between Sperlonga and Gaeta are a popular travel destination for free climbers.

Itri is located in the green hills above the Gulf of Gaeta, only some minutes by car from the sea and the marvelous beaches from Gaeta and Sperlonga. The little town is surrounded by olive groves and the Aurunci Mountains, which have the highest peaks up to 1500 meters. The climate is mild and Mediterranean during the whole year.
The centre of the town has medieval origins. To visit: the castle – Castello di Itri (open from 10 am to 1 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm, during events until 12 pm), the medieval churches and the sanctuary Madonna Della Cività, which you find on the street to Campodimele.
A day trip to Campodimele, an ancient centre in the mountains is recommended. The town becomes famous because of the longevity of their residents.
During the summer month there are organized many cultural events in the castle of Itri.
Famous are the olives with the name Itrana, cultivated mainly in Itri and in the south of Lazio, which are used to produce extra virgin olive oil.

Fly to Rome Ciampino, Rome Fiumicino, and Napoli Capodicchino with Ryan air, Easy jet, Germanwings, Airberlin, Tuifly, Alitalia, Lufthansa, British Airways and others.
Further you have to take the train to the station Formia or Itri.
Or by car from Rome: highway A1 Roma-Napoli, exit Ceprano, direction Campodimele and Itri.
From Naples: Tangentiale di Napoli and then Via Dometiana and Via Appia until Formia, than direction Itri.
