Holland Park is set within a small upmarket development on the grounds of the former Colleton Plantation. The property is surrounded on all sides with tropical gardens, and a gorgeous private pool with 10 seater jacuzzi and gazebo bar. There are front and rear terraces and all bedrooms lead out on to balconies or terrace. The property benefits from views towards Six Men's Bay at the front and a conservation area to the side.

Several restaurants are within easy walk, and supermarkets and beaches within a five minute drive.

Fully equipped with quality appliances

Air conditioned Separate family room/ bedroom 4 with leather sofa bed and large en-suite shower room. This room can be used as bedroom 4 or second living room. Depending on your requirements it can be configured using the sofabed or one or two roll away single beds, it has a freestanding wardrobe and large chest of drawers storage. If extra beds are not required the room is configured as a second sitting room.

First Floor:

*Master Bedroom with king-size bed, sitting area with small table & chairs, Oak dressing table and chair. Air conditioning with large ceiling fan. En-suite bathroom with shower over bath and double basins set in granite topped vanity units. Bedroom 3 with twin 3ft beds, large built in wardrobe. Rattan Chair . Sleeps 2 plus room for cot or roll away single bed. Air conditioning and large ceiling fan.En suite bathroom with shower over, w/c and basin set in large granite topped vanity unit.

Door leads from bedroom onto large balcony shared with bedroom 2 with rattan style tables and chairs overlooking rear garden and pool.

We can also provide free of charge, childs travel cot x2 , 1 with bassinet and changing mat, cot bedding , high chairs, potty, baby bath, children's cutlery and plastic crockery, car seat/ booster, playpen which can be used indoors or outdoor under the covered terrace to protect baby from the sun.

Bedding, towels and beach towels provided. There are 6 folding beach chairs that easy fit into car boot for use by guests at the beach.

Large patio at rear of bedroom 4/ family room has dining table and 8 chairs , sun parasol, leading onto private pool area with decking all round suitable for sun longers, roman steps into the pool and large integral jacuzzi. Outdoor shower area , 6 comfortable sunloungers. At the far end of the pool deck there is a pretty Gazebo with built in bar area and bar stools, sink etc. Weber gas BBQ, is located on the deck.

Property is walled and fenced on all sides and sits within tropical gardens. Large Block paved parking area at front . All bedrooms open onto balconies with comfortable rattan style chairs or adirondack chairs. Further small covered terrace at front of property off of the living area .

Young children will require supervision as the pool area is accessible from the deck area .

The property will sleep a maximum of 8 Adults -or 7 Adults and upto 2 children . however if the downstairs family/bedroom 4 is used as a bedroom please be aware that the back terrace is accessed from this room. If this is an issue access to the back terrace can also be gained by walking around the pool deck from the front terrace up a small flight of steps.

English speaking rep on hand to answer queries and deal with any emergencies.

Maid service available at extra charge.

The St Peter Parish region

The Parish of Saint Peter ("St. Peter") is one of eleven parishes in the Caribbean island country of Barbados. It is named after the Christian Apostle and patron saint, Saint Peter. It is located in the north of Barbados, and is the only parish besides Saint Lucy that extends to both the east and west coasts.

The Barbados "Platinum Coast," which extends through Saint Peter from the parish of Saint James just to the south, has helped to make Saint Peter a tourist hot spot. The parish is surrounded with white-sandy beaches including the world famous Mullins Bay. It also contains many rolling hills and terraces some of which are still covered by sugar cane, which was the island's chief cash crop during its colonial period. Within Saint Peter are also large tourist sites such as the Port St. Charles marina and the new Port Ferdinand currently being constructed.

Speightstown

The area of Speightstown The city is named after William Speight, a member of Barbados' first Assembly during the colonial years as well as the former land owner where the city is located. It has a long and colorful history reaching back to the 17th century when it served as one of the main ports connecting the island with the “mother country,” England. Back then Speightstown was sometimes called “Little Bristol” because of these trading connections with Bristol in England. Many historic buildings dating from colonial times, including Arlington House, still remain standing in the town and can be seen mostly along Queen Street, Church Street and Orange Street. There is a lot of activity in Speightstown particularly on weekends when locals and visitors come out to do their shopping and banking. Many stalls can be found along the streets hawking local and imported fruits and ground provisions. modern ferry line.Speightstown is also home to Port St. Charles, a brand new luxury marina development, where those who wish to enter the island by yacht and other vessels can dock and be processed for entry. Due to its distance from the capital, it carries an air of a more bohemian lifestyle. Also to be found in close proximity to Speightstown are excellent hotels and restaurants. There is an excellent art gallery, The Gallery of Caribbean Art, http://www.artgallerycaribbean.com/ which showcases some excellent local and Caribbean artists.

"great house"

We stayed at Holland Park May this year and I can honestly say we had the best two weeks ever. The house was lovely, great location and really clean and had everything we needed. We were met by Clair, a lovely lady who showed us around and made sure we were comfortably. The house really is one of the nicest rentals we have stayed in, well furnished and modern, the bed was really comfortable which is not something you usually get, nice cotton sheets, good sized towels and shampoo etc if you needed it. The location was perfect, we even saw the monkeys playing in the trees from our bedroom balcony - heaven! Not far from town where you can get some shopping and a good base to explore the rest of Barbados. The local people were so friendly, the restaurents were great, I can recommend the fish pot, mullins, the lonestar and the tides. All in all this was a great holiday and we will definately be back. Jo at Winkworth properties made booking easy and i felt everything was in hand before we left the uk, well done all, i I have already recommended Holland Park to all my friends and family - loved it.

"A superb choice of accomodation in very peaceful surroundings"

Excellent accomodation, very tidy and clean and everything in place to meet all the family's needs be it Wi Fi , swimming pool, pool towels etc. Do need your own transport to make the most of the local area and the venture further afield. Excellent eating places near at hand also
