Home description
SilverDollar 1 and 2 are two newly constructed and well appointed apartments on the ground floor. The property is fully landscaped and enclosed. They are across the street from Heywoods beach and like all of the west coast beaches enjoys calm waters and golden sands. There is a small executive golf course right on the beach. The beach is nestled between the two exclusive resorts of the Almond beach Club and Port St. Charles.
Each apartment features air-conditioned bedrooms with queen sized beds; a well appointed, fully equipped kitchen with ceiling fans. Dining is bar style. The lounge area opens out into a covered patio where you can relax on large swivel and rocker chairs. In apartment one there is a spa shower. Floors are fully tiled with parquet only in one bedroom.

The West Coast region
Speightstown in St. Peter is an old merchant settlement and port, believed to date from before 1640. It was formerly known as LITTLE BRISTOL, because of its close trading association with that major English port. The town was of important significance since it had five major forts defending the town from attack at sea. These were Range Fort, Denmark Fort, Coconut fort, Haywoods fort and Dover Fort, hence Barbados being identified as an "Island Fortress."
Speightstown area
Speightstown is Barbados secondary town and is within walking distance from the apartments. A wide range of services and facilities are easily accessible. The apartment's guests are also well located for easy access to the northern and eastern coasts of the island, where the scenery is markedly different to that of the East Coast. This is a significant advantage over many other locations in the island.
Within walking distance is a jetty, esplanade, nature walk, museum, church, banks, shopping, restaurants, bars and a bus depot. This depot is a hub for transportation to several parts of the island. Attractions and points of interest are therefore easily accessible by public transport or taxi.
The Arlington House - Museum is a state-of-the art museum providing electronic virtual displays and cinema show of our fascinating Barbadian history.
How to get there
Speightstown is the capital of St. Peter and located on the West Coast of Barbados. It is a 45 minute drive from the airport. Southern car rentals offers good deals including a 10% discount if you book on-line at www.southernrentalsbarbados.com. However, myself or agent will meet/greet at the airport and take you to the property.
