About the home

South of Bourgas, Sozopol, a small ancient Greek fishing village, is the jewel of the southern Black Sea Riviera and rumoured to become an exclusive holiday resort. You will never cease to be amazed by the beautiful winding, cobbled streets of the Old Town, with traditional wooden houses, and an abundance of fantastic restaurants and cafes. Along with the quaint harbour and blue fishing boats you'll find local artists selling their wares. With its own sandy beach, which is set in a shallow bay, making it ideal for children.

The New Town is modern with a variety of shops, coffee bars, restaurants and bars, and boasting its own long sandy beach. Both beaches have sun beds /umbrellas, and many water sports available including diving.

One of our air conditioned apartments sleep up to 4 adults with 2 single beds and a double sofa bed in the lounge. There are two balconies, including sun loungers, tables and chairs - one being an ideal sun trap the other shaded in the afternoon - the front balcony, which allows you all to sit and take in the magnificent sea view over Sozopol watching for dolphins and those beautiful sunsets - perfect for that glass of wine! It overlooks 2 private pools and one for children. There is also a small children's play area. The open plan living area provides facilities for dining and preparing light meals.

We also have a studio apartment for rent which is located opposite ideal if you require additional bedrooms

The Black Sea Coast region

The Black Sea Coast boasts a fabulous climate from mid May to September with many sunny days during the rest of the year. A short distance south of Sozopol you will come to Duni - a nature reserve alongside an unspoilt beach stretching 2km.

Travel a little further to find the Ropotamo River where you can take a boat trip. Or visit one of the many beautiful coves or small resorts, all along the coastline set against the greenery of the countryside and mountains. To the north, the city of Bourgas has a cosmopolitan feel with al fresco cafes, bars and fabulous boutiques for that perfect shopping trip.

You will also find churches, museums, the opera house and beautiful buidlings. You must also visit the tranquil Sea Gardens rich in flowers, trees and sculptures, which stretches for several kilometres along the clifftops above Bourgas beach. Or why not spend a day at the water park near Sunny Beach.

The Sozopol / Budjaka area

The Old Town has several quaint churches and a park that comes alive in the cool of the early evening when many Bulgarians and tourists of all ages are out for a stroll. View the arts and crafts stalls or take the trail around the bay and stop at one of the many traditional restaurants and watch the world go by.

Children will love the beach activities and amusements, and there is also some night life for the young at heart. Scuba divers can find many wrecks and a petrified forest just off the coast of Sozopol. In Sozopol they are still unearthing archaeological treasures many of which you can see in the museum.

Sozopol is also internationally known for it's Apollonia Music & Arts Festival in early September, with nightly music, theatre and dance performances.

back in Denmark. I just want to tell you that we had a great time in your apartment in Sozopol.The flat was so nice and we spend a lot of time in the nice pool area. Our 2 girls said the last day: We wish we could stay....and even they are 14 and 15 they really enjoyed the peace in and around the apartment. Great little apartment in a very quiet part of town, yet within walking distance of a multitude of shops, bars, restaurants and beaches. The pool is lovely, the managers on site are really helpful and the local produce is excellent (and dirt cheap), so you can eat healthily and well without breaking a sweat. We loved the view of the Black Sea from the balcony, especially when we got to watch the dolphins swim by whilst we ate our breakfasts. Highly recommended for a great value getaway in the sunshine.
