Casa Sale is an independent stone house surrounded by a garden with olive trees, located in a small hamlet, just 4km outside Sovicille, about 10km from Siena.

Carefully restored, the house has been divided into two apartments, each with independent entrance: one is rented as holiday accommodation while the other is where the owners live.

The apartment available for rent (80 sqm) has been nicely renovated to a high standard, while retaining plenty of original character. There is cotto floor in the living/kitchen room and wooden floor in the bedrooms, exposed chestnut beamed ceilings and brick arches.

There is a paved area directly in front of the entrance of the house, shaded by a wisteria plant and furnished with table and chairs. Just 6 steps from outside lead to the living room with fireplace and Satellite TV; kitchen corner (fridge with freezer, dishwasher, 6-ring cooker, washing machine).

A modern flight of steps from the living room leads to one double bedroom (queen size beds), one double bedroom that can be made as twin on request and two shower bathrooms.

Bathrooms and bedrooms are high quality.

Extra bed for a fifth person available for an extra charge.

Elegantly furnished with a very tasteful modern style, it's a good choice for a restful and relaxing holiday, while being within reach of so many points of interest.

Guests can enjoy the private use of the swimming pool (9.80m x 4.80m - 1.50-2.80m deep) in the garden and the close covered terrace to provide welcome shade from the sun in hot summer days, furnished with table and chairs for dining out.

BBQ available in the garden. Wireless internet connection available free of charge. The owners are a very nice and reserved couple, growing and selling vegetables, olive oil and wine, all strictly organic.

The Tuscany region

You will be taken in by the beauty of the wide variety of Tuscany landscapes, the deep greens of its pine forests, the pool of colours of the Mediterranean Sea and vegetation, the quiet atmosphere of the age-old villages, its glittering sea and incredible sunsets, long, sandy beaches, Etruscan towns, genuine cuisine and you can even enjoy the sight of wild boars and horses or visit the rich, exclusive and fashionable resorts of the Argentario.

We have a superb selection of accommodation in Tuscany: luxury villas with pools, coastal apartments, beach and costal villas, self catering town apartments, as well a selection of cottage and farmhouse properties.

The birthplace of the Renaissance, Tuscany is renowned for its artistic and cultural treasures and features both large cities and small towns that are rich in both.

The jewel of the crown of Tuscany is of course, Florence, with its wealth of art and architecture that has been admired for centuries. The Uffizi gallery houses many works by great masters such as Botticelli, Michelangelo and Titian, while the Duomo (cathedral) and Palazzo Vecchio are two outstanding examples of Florentine architecture. Also to be found here are the Boboli gardens and the famous Ponte Vecchio.

Siena is situated in the heart of the Chianti region and is a typical Renaissance town, with narrow winding streets leading up to the Romanesque cathedral set on the highest point of the town. The magnificent Piazza del Campo is the focal point of the town where the famous 'Palio' horse race takes place in July and August of each year. The race is preceded by medieval parades and pageantry and the square is thronged with spectators from all around the world.
