Southwold is a charming north Suffolk seaside town on the Suffolk heritage coast. It is a wonderful all year round destination with a working lighthouse and wonderful sandy beaches overlooked by the now famous beach huts. The bustling pier at the heart of the town is alive with restaurants, cafes, shops, and many other attractions. Southwold truly is the typically beautiful and unspoilt `old' english resort town.

Southwold caters for all requests; it is the perfect place to either purely relax and enjoy the picturesque scenery, or the more active can enjoy the fantastic walks available, fishing from the pier, and even boat trips including a ferry to Walberswick. It also has a harbour where you can buy fresh local fish and other local produce.

The compact town ensures everywhere is in walking distance, including the cottage. The cottage is one of few on high ground enjoying views across the marshes, St Edmunds, and the lighthouse in the town.

"Home from home"

This is a wonderful place to stay. Very clean, very cared for with all the home comforts you will require. Great location and close enough to the lovely seafront. Highly recommended to anybody wishing to stay in Southwold.

"A comfortable family home"

We were a family including two pensioner grandparents and two children under five and we fitted very comfortably intto the accomodation - effectively having two bathroms helps. Despite the light colours and ornaments, the furnishing was child-friendly. A quiet road with good off-road parking. May be a little bit more than the advertised 500 metres to the heart of Southwold - OK for the sprightly but tests pensioner knees! Good access to the footpaths to the harbour and Walberswick We had a happy week with no problems with the house or patio garden.
