Bungalow | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 6
Driftwood has been our much loved holiday home for many years and we never tire of the peace and tranquility that it offers.
It is a very light and welcoming bungalow, situated in a quiet, cul- de- sac, in an elevated position. We have recently refurbished 'Driftwood' in a contemporary style, to a very high standard. The lounge has a triple aspect and overlooks the large front garden.
The oak kitchen has everything possible to cook gourmet meals or simply sit and enjoy your takeaway . It spills out onto the unoverlooked, rear courtyard garden with patio table and chairs, and subtle garden lighting, for outdoor entertaining.
Each bedroom has been individually designed and decorated creating a calm, peaceful sanctuary and using hotel quality bedding for that perfect nights sleep. There is an additional double sofa bed in the lounge which can be used, if guests do not want to share one of the double bedrooms. The fully tiled bathroom has a mains shower over the bath, toilet and handbasin. There is also a separate additional toilet next to the main bedroom.
'Driftwood' is very convenient for all local amenities. The lovely local hotel/pub ( the randolph) is only a 5-minute walk away and there is a very good, well stocked village shop 400 metres from here. Reydon is only a 'stones throw' from Southwold and in a short walk you can be in the centre of this pretty seaside resort with all its famous amenities including the pier and beachhuts, Adnams brewery and the quaint high street with its independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. There is also a footpath nearby which takes you directly to the beach. At the end of a lovely day you can escape the hustle and bustle in town and enjoy the tranquil surroundings of 'driftwood' with plenty of space to relax.

The East Anglia region
Southwold is a very central location from which to explore Suffolk, with local attractions for all age groups ranging from Amusement parks at Pleasurewood Hills, Lowestoft and Wildlife Parks in Kessingland. For good shopping, Great Yarmouth can be reached by car or Bus and Norwich is only a 45 mins drive away. Minsmere RSPB is very close by and Dunwich heath can be reached on cycle via very quiet country lanes.
Some of our favourite stays are in the Autumn/Winter months when the crowds have gone and we can take a lovely long walk on the vast beach or stroll along the marshland paths, spotting an abundance of wildlife. Returning for a hot chocolate to our warm, cosy retreat is always special. Having spent over 15 years enjoying the pleasures of this lovely part of Suffolk, we have plenty of information to share on the best places to eat, leisurely walks and cycleways and can also arrange the rental of a Beach hut during May to September ( subject to availability). We want your stay to be one of many and have done our upmost to ensure you have the best accommodation to enjoy your holiday.
