Southole Barns are beautifully situated at the top of a south facing valley in a designated Coastal Preservation Area & Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Barns sit within a peaceful & secluded setting & enjoy amazing views over the surrounding countryside. The South West Coastal Path is within 150 meters, providing uninterrupted cliff top & coastal walks along it's rugged coastline, renowned for its dramatic scenery and breathtaking sea views & shipwrecks . It's also close to many stunning & secluded sandy & rock-pool beaches. The Barns are a courtyard of former Victorian Monastery buildings that have been beautifully converted to a very high standard over the past 3 years, to form 4 exclusive & unique self catering properties. The courtyard is laid to cobbled & slate, with beautiful raised flower beds, including Fig & Ornamental Artichoke, sitting within 4 acres of gardens & meadow land with a charming stream fed pond. Ideal location for birdwatchers & nature lovers

Greenway Barn is our premium west facing property, elegantly converted to a two storey upside down spacious barn. The master bedroom has a beautiful & grand Four Poster Double Bed, plus a second twin bedroom and shower room all make up the ground floor. Both bedrooms have views over the adjoining farmland .

Stairs lead from the entrance hall up to a large open plan, family orientated, living, dining and kitchen area (with dishwasher), with views over adjoining farmland. A beamed ceiling, stunning antique log burner, wide screen television, wood flooring throughout, plus built in security stair gate and a stable door to a small sunny fenced garden.

There are benches for dining & a love swing set by the pond and ample lawn for children to play.

We have resident ducks & bantam chickens and children are welcome to help feed & collect the eggs daily.

The surrounding unspoilt countryside is the ideal location for birdwatchers & nature lovers.

The Devon region

The Barns are 3 miles from the A39 (Atlantic Highway) on the boarder between Devon & Cornwall.

So giving easy access to both North Devon and Cornish coastlines, beaches and seaside resorts such as Bude, Widemouth Bay, Instow, Appledore, Boscastle and legendary Tintagel as well as King Arthur's Castle. The picturesque fishing ports of Clovelly, Bideford & Padstow, home to Rick Stein's restaurant empire are all within easy reach.

Plus many fabulous attractions for both young & old, from gardens, cream tea's & manor houses, to children activity centres and surf schools.

Southole

Southole Barns are located in the small hamlet of Southole within the Parish of Hartland and 1.5 mile from unspoilt Welcombe Mouth Beach. The village of Welcombe is less than 1 mile away with its Church, Village Hall, Pottery, our Community Shop and a Thatched Public House 'The Old Smithy Inn' which is well known for good food within the area.

"very nice house"

Quiet nice place, very clean, perfect beds, interior design with "pure" atmosphere, and complete kitchen, but above all beautiful walks!

"Fantastic getaway"

On arrival,wasn't expecting it to be quite so remote,but once we got into the swing of things ie relaxing and getting away from it all this was the perfect retreat.the best cottage we have stayed in by far and a short walk across 2 fields to a spectacular coastline.a great location and only a short drive to some great sandy beaches,would defiantly recommend the barn and warm welcome received.

"wunderschöne Ferien für die ganze Familie"

- wunderschöne Lage direkt am North Coast Path und absolut ruhig inmitten sattem Grün.
- sehr gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtete Ferienwohnungen
- herzlicher Empfang und sehr netter Kontakt mit stets hilfsbereiten Vermietern
- absolute Erholung für die ganze Familie, ob am Strand, bei langen Spaziergängen oder beim Lesen im Garten.
- optimal für Familien mit Kindern aller Altersklassen (unsere sind inzwischen groß), Wanderer, Mountainbiker und natürlich Naturliebhaber
Uns hat es so gut gefallen, daß wir in diesem Sommer zum dritten Mal hier gewesen sind, obwohl wir bis jetzt noch nie zweimal unseren Urlaub an der gleichen Stelle verbracht haben. ... und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!!!!!!!

"Great accommodation in a fantastic location"

Very comfortable and well eqipped barn in a beatiful garden setting. Really appreciated being so close to the SW coastal path in a quieter part of Devon. The owners were very helpful without being intrusive.

"Beautiful Barns, with amazing location, a real getaway..."

Just wanted to say what a lovely stay we had at your beautiful home. It really is a special place and feels like a totally different world to where we come from, which is what made it the perfect getaway. The barns are beautiful/cosy/fresh and warming. The attention to detail and friendly welcome you guy's provide is 5* and what a location. Miss the local pub already! Hope to visit again one day in the future.
