Home description

Our 3 levels house (groundfloor, first and second floors) is in green and sunny position. An accurate interior decoration, 2 fire places, a double lounge with veranda, a comfortable dining room with a well equipped kitchen will make your Tuscan vacation a very pleasant one. There is ample opportunity for walking in the countryside. A riding stable is about 3 miles away, the golf course 's distance is at about 18 miles. Florence, Perugia, Arezzo and Siena are all within 1 hour drive. The village of Sarteano has an important castle. Some of the village's restaurants are celebrated in the most prestigious tourist guides. Don't forget to buy "pici", the typical local "pasta fresca" and taste them sitting at the outdoor table in our garden or on our terrace.

You'll understand why this area is considered one of the most reach in art of Italy. Green hills with castles and ancient villas, important marble churches make of this part of Tuscany the most beloved by foreign tourists and also by the Italian upper class of Rome, Milan, Turin with many frequently reported stylists, industrialists and bankers having their second homes among olive trees of Alta Chiana Valley.

How to get there

At midway between Florence and Rome. Perfectly connected to motorway A1, exit Chiusi-Chianciano Terme. 2,5 km direction Sarteano.
Nearest airports: Florence, Perugia, Rome Fiumicino and Rome Ciampino.
Flights are now available to Perugia from Stansted, London - Perugia is about an 40 minutes drive from the house.
You can also fly to Ancona or Forli (Bologna) --2 hours
Rome, 1.30 hour, Pisa 2 hours. All are served by Ryanair.

This single family house offers one bedroom with a double bed, 2 bedrooms with single beds (one with 3 beds, one with 2 beds) and there is an additional little lounge with a sofabed. There are 2 bathrooms, one at the first floor with half tube. Another one at the second floor with shower.

Bicycles can be rented in Sarteano. The area of Alta Val di Chiana and Val d'Orcia offer nice concerts, theatrical shows, art exibitions, not to talk of the various antic markets spread all around, the most famous one being that of Arezzo. In summertime you enjoy the sport area of Sarteano with swimming pools for adults and children and tennis courts. Golfers can choose among the various Golfclub of Panicarola, Perugia, Umbertide and many other small ones. Mount Cetona, at 4 miles from the house offers nice walking paths among oaktrees. The home book you'll find in our lounge will give more info for profiting of the area at its best.

A well-behaved dog is allowed but sorry, no cats.

Refundable breakages deposit of £180 required on arrival, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
25% of rental fee due six weeks before your stay to secure booking.

There is a lift in the apartment building providing wheelchair access.
