Apartment | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Charter House is centrally located within Southampton's city centre and is ideal for business or leisure stays. The building is positioned on the right as you enter Ocean Village where there is a marina, three restaurants, two cinema's and a Tesco's Express for all your amenities. We have two fully furnished serviced apartments in this building both with a similar layout.
This apartment is located on the third floor which can be accessed by the lift or stairs. As you enter the hallway there is a storage cupboard to your right and down the corridor on the left you will find a spacious lounge with dining area where you can access the balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs and is fantastic when you have a family as you are not governed by hotel timetables and can cater for children on their timetable instead. A washer/dryer is in the property to meet all your laundry needs so gone are the days of having to return home to mounds of washing.
The family bathroom has a shower over the bath, wash basin and a heated towel rail. Towels and complimentary toiletries are supplied for you on arrival. Down the corridor from the main bathroom there are two double bedrooms with built in wardrobes and chest of drawers. The master bedroom has an en-suite with a shower, heated towel rail and a wash basin.
If your stay is longer than 7 day our housekeeping team will clean and supply fresh towels and bed linen. Additional cleaning can be provided at a small fee upon request.
Allocated parking for one car is supplied in the secure car park and free broadband is available unlike hotels where you have to buy internet packages.

The Central Southern England region
Hampshire offers a wealth of treasures, from rolling countryside, unspoilt beaches, glorious gardens and pretty villages to ancient forests, bustling market towns, historic ships and imposing castles. If you like walking, cycling, horse riding or water sports there's plenty to keep you amused, while for shopping, food and drink, military heritage and award-winning attractions, Hampshire tops the lot. For entertaining days out, relaxing short breaks and fun family holidays, be sure to discover Hampshire.
The historic city of Southampton is much more than just a cruise stop or shopping destination. Its appeal lies in its diverse nightlife, exciting retail opportunities, varied leisure facilities, superb art and heritage attractions, lively events programme and of course the excitement and charm of a bustling waterfront location.
The superb Museum of Archaeology at God's House Tower is an ideal place to start your own tour of historical Southampton. Once part of the city's defences the museum is now home to one of the most interesting archaeology collections in England. This can be followed by a guided walk of the city's walls by the Southampton Tourist Guides.
The city's Maritime Museum tells the story of this important port and is home to the Titanic Exhibition, where visitors can re-live the ill-fated story of this famous ship. Whilst close by Solent Sky depicts the history of aviation in the Solent area and tells the story of the legendary Spitfire designed in Southampton.
Few places can match Southampton's cultural offerings including the magnificent award-winning City Art Gallery and Southampton Guildhall, as well as a superb choice of fine theatres, galleries and international events such as the annual Boat Show.
With the magnificent WestQuay, Southampton has added to its extensive portfolio a state of the art shopping facility with almost a hundred shops, whilst close by are three further excellent shopping centres as well as the traditional specialist shops making Southampton the top shopping destination in the South of England.
Southampton's exciting nightlife is renowned in the region with its historic pubs, funky bars and music venues. You may prefer to take it easy and linger in one of the city's cool cafés and restaurants with menus from all over the world or enjoy the waterfront setting at Ocean Village with its popular restaurants and bars whilst close by Oxford Street, which buzzes with great places to eat and drink, is well worth a visit.
Situated in the shelter of Southampton Water, and right in the heart of Southampton, Ocean Village is more than a marina. Surrounded by a wealth of shops, restaurants, cinemas and bars, it offers outstanding recreational facilities. Overlooking the marina is The Royal Southampton Yacht Club which, although a members club, offers berth holders and visitors a warm and friendly welcome.
The basin, formerly used for commercial ships, is deep enough to offer mooring facilities for tall ships and large yachts. It has also become famous for hosting the start and / or finish of around the world yacht races.
From the marina, there is direct access to superb and varied cruising. To the west is the picturesque Beaulieu River and the surrounding New Forest. Portsmouth Harbour lies only a few miles to the east and is home to a large fleet of modern and historic warships.
