Just behind Havelock Chambers is the 'uber' chic Oxford Street with many up market restaurants and bars with people dining alfresco. A Casino and Ocean Village Marina are all within easy walking distance. Mayflower theatre stages many West End shows. Southampton High Street hosts all the big name night clubs and bars which provides a really good night out. There is also Leisure World complex which boasts an Odeon Cinema, Grosvenor Casino and many nightclus and restaurants. You are spolit for choice when shopping with West Quay Shopping Centre. It has 3 floors of shops and a food hall on the top floor.
How to get there
The nearest airport is Southampton Airport (10mins drive). Airports further away include: Bournemouth (40mins drive), London Heathrow (75min drive) and London Gatwick (90 min drive). Ferries to Southampton from the Isle Of Wight are run by Red Funnel and include a high speed service (20mins), or to take the car (60mins). Car hire is available from the airports and there are also lots of local car hire companies in and around Southampton. Southampton Central is the main train station which links London Waterloo in 90mins.
